View Full Version : Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think my clutch is now nearly 100% dead...
Was going into Horsham, put it in 2nd for a corner, BANG grind whirr etc
Got it in gear, but now when i disengage 70% of the time there is a thump, and also when coming off the gas...
Is this 100% clutch? or is it worse than that?
Also thinking Diff mounts are worn... But clutch is big bad bangy thing...
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
as above , more details required !

i'd be thinking more like gearbox, have u checked the oil in it, years ago i had a sierra that was making loads of horrible noises and clunks and i thought it was clutch, turns out the gearbox was totally nakered and had no oil in it
The box should be fine - when i had the engine reseal done i asked them to check the oil and top it up... that wasn't too long back and there have been no leaks....
The clutch pedel has stupid travel on it too =- the old dude rode it like a mare...
thinking about it, it msut be clutch - it was doing odd things at 4k the other day...
the engine note was rising at 4k-ish, but without the revs or turbo altering.... I'm guessing that was slippage?
if it was slipping the revs would rise but the car wouldnt go any faster. it does sound like the clutch is taking a time to engage, could a case of lazy fingers mate......... ( )
