Take a look at this link it includes pics of my cheap runabout 'aka cav td'. On my way home from my nearest nissan dealer after spending £450 on front end bits (!). Travelling along a 70mph dual carrageway and as I come over the brow I notice a huge tractor pulling out from a gap in the central reservation into the fast lane, so i back off and pull into the slow lane as does the tractor which is towing a trailor which could hold about 3 cars - what could I do this guy was completely blocking both lanes of my side of the road?! - So I did the only thing I could do - slam on the brakes and aim for the softest parts of a tractor - the tyres!!

Needless to say the tractor came of better than the cav did and believe it or not both me and my mate walked away without a scratch! Someone up there loves me!!

Ouch - you were soooo lucky - bloody tractors are a liability.... I hope you get everything you deserve from his insurers....

Isn't that quite a good argument for owning one of those Cappacino thingys? You can pass straight underneath??? ;)

Glad to hear that you are all OK :) (just don't drive a Camels Ear again... ;) )

Yeah it hurt just a touch - I still can't believe that i managed to walk away without even a bruise! - Neck and back are a bit sore today though so it looks like i'll have to take a few days off work.

Heres a pic of the car - the old man came to fetch me so it's not stuck in some place that will charge me £120 for collecting it and £11 a day storage if I wanted it back!
