Hi Dave, sorry havn't been on line since Sunday - working away. It's taken me two hours to read thro' all the posts on the General Section!
I got my car sprayed at SE-Nissan. I'm not overly impressed as it still needs some more work doing to it to bring it up to scratch.
I part ex'd a brand new T25 hybrid and paid about £800 aswell (total price £1400 approx).
This included colour coding the number plate surrounds, mirrors, window trims and centre console. I also had them fit their WRX spoiler with a third brake light in the base and they moulded Wills old mudflaps and colour coded them aswell.

Phew....

Yeah, he quoted me £900 for a respray and to take all the dings out. Calling him soon to finalise the deal and will let you know the results, but pauls looks puka though so Im confident of a good job.

I know it's a bitch spraying over certain colours with others. Give him a bell on 01442 843542 the companies called woodside body repairs. The guy is a perfectionist even with his quotes so dont expect a realy quick answer, while I was there he was fixing up a lotus that had been front ended and it looked like new.

Dave_R, Did you find out how much it is for a colour change?

£900 seems like a good price for decent respray...you would have to go the whole hog though and change the colour completely!

That mad greenpurpleblue colour is really nice...only ever see it on Micras round my way though!

Is it "Candy paint" that has a silver base coat then whatever colour and a million layers of lacquer, that stuff always looks the business.

I get confused with 'Flip' and 'Pearlecent'...The only thing with re-spraying a car a different colour is when you try to sell it. People can get a bit suspicious.

I would'nt mind getting mine done but I cant really justify it (the cars only 4 yrs old).

My missus has a Metallic Green (Skoda Colour!) MX5 and it really stands out form the crowd.
