Had the (mis?)fortune to drive a genuine 430bhp car last night, Im sorry to say it was a ford. But oh my word.. I absolutley cacked my pants, having owned a very quick motorbike, i wasnt ready for just how quick cars can be.. I felt sick, it held 32lb of boost and cornered like a dog on wet lino if you even looked at the throttle. I need my car to do that stuff. :-)
I said to my pal, "how can i get my car to go anything like that?" he said "put my engine in it". heheh twot.

I hadnt been in it since it was 350bhp. Its prolly the only cossie Id like to own, the others just seem like fast sierras, this felt like a Boeing.

I dunno Steve I think i'd prefer a 400bhp Cosworth YB lump, reletivly cheap to tune and very strong, the old thundersaloon cup used to have engines producing 500bhp @ 8000rpm running a standard bottom end!

When you post a reply, click on the "Smilies Legend" link on the left, this will give you the basic BB smilies.
For the ones Ive added, click to edit my message (you can look at the code but wont be able to edit), highlight the code for the smilie, and past it somewhere like a .txt file. Then In future simply paste the code in from the txt file and hey presto you too can have those smilies!!

Im near Northwich, I bomb up and down the M53 alot to errrrm Clatterbridge, i think thats in or around the wirral, its somewhere near heswall anyway. I think..

I live 2 mins from the M53, but 2 junctions after clatterbridge in Upton.
I think we are pretty much alone up here, as most people seem to be from the London (down south) areas.

ahh, i never go past the clatterbridge junction, (fine stretch of road that m53 now they took the cones off it!) it took me a while to get to grips with the speed camera gag. I aint spotted any but theres plenty of stripes on the road, bizarre.

I think Simon norris is running in the 400's which I think is amasing for a 1.8 lump. people dont beleive me when they ask what engine is in my 200sx, then you get the usual Oh it'll blow up soon then. They cant seem to grasp this Jap engineering. they may have made rusty old sheds in the 70's but that aint the case no more.
The scariest thing I have been out in was a 500bhp skyline. My god was that thing quick.
That experience is the reason why I own a 200sx now. My neighbour, at the time, imported a nice silver R33 V-Spec Skyline from Tokyo. It was the car of a CEO from some big organisation and had been NISMO'ed up to the nines.
Driving along the A41, pulled up next to an M3 in 4th and wallop. I thought someone had moved my seat into the boot!!!!We were doing 70 and the next thing I know we are doing 140!!!!!
