Yeah... I'm working in the kitchen for about 3 hours!
Having crispy duck, tapenyaki and some sushi & sashimi for xmas dinner.

:)

Only one up at the moment. Already depesited sack of pressies by gas fire for g/f. Work-mates have a bet on which one will get me thumped the most (I was wrapping them at work): hair rollers were popular, but the dinky toys, lego and huge box with a single pack of rolos in were also throught to be likely to incite violence.

Flatmate staggered in at oh-silly-hundred hours and girlfriend is still asleep. Looked in TV times and the only decent things on today is the Osbournes, Some WW2 stuff on 5 and 'Chicken Run'. Getting in some quality PC time while I can do so in peace!

Well not that I'd call it working, I'm in today until 2pm and then in again on the 27th - 30th but it is double time with time off in lieu.

Still slaving away!

Cooling the rice at the moment.
Duck looks ok...just crisping it up a bit now.

Misses in a sulk because I told her if she wanted to eat, then to have a snack 3 hours ago. Now she's mooning around the kitchen moaning about being hungry!

I forgot to leave a tip for the binmen :(

Bin day is on a Mon, and on the sunday night, around 9pm, I always have great plans to put the bin out. By 11pm - once I've finished the wine and had a few rums - I've always completely forgotten about it, and when I eventually emerge on Monday morning I usually find that the bin men have been down and moved the bin for me :) In my book, that deserves a whopping great tip, but I forgot to put it out in the pre-xmas collection  :( Will try to remember it next week instead :)

lr110v8, from what you say, you work in a restaurant??? imho that isn't on, not to leave tips in the festive season ! Will keep fingers crossed that you get some tomorrow :)

I've been here for 30 mins now and NOT ONE PHONE CALL.

I have to wait until 2pm for the manager to call in to see how things 'are going' before I can go.. boo hoo

Still, gives me time to completely RINSE the internet here as shown in the lower right part of the image :D (yes folks, that's kilobytes, not bits  )
