View Full Version : Turkish Lira
Hi guys
A bit off topic so apologies but was hoping for a quick answer from one of the welshies, I found 1000000 turkish lira note (1 million) how much is it worth?
Been looking on currency converters but can't get much sense?
Anyone been to Turky and know? Probably something silly like 50 pence!! lol:D
Thanks
36pence :)
The note you have is actually the old Turkish lira. The New Turkish Lira was introduced in 2005. Basically 1million old Lira, is 1 new Lira.
There is no 1million lira note in the new currency. (If there was you could buy a house with that note!!!!)

I wonder what "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" would have been called with the old currency? :)

Who wants to be a Tri-Trillionaire!
I'll give you 20p for it :D
My sister made me a millionaire for my 21st birthday (in 1993) by giving me a million lire in a briefcase. I was a pikey student so cashed them in for £47 sterling.
With the benefit of hindsight I did the right thing
