The last couple of months have been ****e, mainly from a car type perspective...
1) Somebody ran into fincees' car in a car park while I was driving it - still waiting for his insurance to admit liabilty... and I am not holding my breath even though it was 100% his fault :( Probable cost 300 quid.
2) Buy fiancee new car (Citroen BX) as Christmas pressie, so I will have her old one when it's repaired, and get rid of my battered old Sunny. Except the insurnance company won't let me swap cars on the policy, so would have to cancel it and start a new policy - lose about 200 quid...
3) Driving the BX, and some git drives pulls out a side road into the rear wing/wheel 'spat'/bumper. Turns out all the (very convincing) details he gives me are bulls**t and the car wasn't even registered - the last owner sold it to a scrap yard, and so didn't send his bit of the V5 off  :( Cost to bodge/repair - at least 300 quid using second hand parts :(
4) Get back to the house from a night out and somebody has broken into the Sunny, that has a lot of work equipment in. Took bits and bobs, not much though... except I have had to mention to cops that as part of my 'tools' for Railtrack work, they took an 8" bowie knife that was kept in the car :o
Most annoying thing is that I had 'aquired' an extremely hard to get hold of pass for works 'management' car park - and they took that! fcuking s**ts
What I don't understand is that they left an expensive 4 cell maglite!?! most valuable thing in the car - it doesn't even have a stereo...
The the above, along with the usual things such as the fiancee having to fill out tax forms 'cos it appears an ex-boss was taking the deductions but not paying the Inland Revenue, the central heating playing up, hating my job (and being crap at it) etc...
Anybody got anything to cheers me up?
And don't say Christmas. Humbug.
Cheers, Phil
Edit: Oh yeah, and I was going to get an S13 as my car, but for family-political reasons I have got to keep fiancee's old car mentioned in '1)' above - and it's a dog slow crap VW Scirocco.
Will probably have a mates MR2 Turbo, but as a third/fourth car 'cos it's not suitable for my job - more £££ and I know I will get moaned at for having so many motors...
