Top Gear took 5secs off the 0-100 time by stripping the car out.

Wondered how quick they are once they get moving (0-60 was quoted on Sunday night's programme as 8.6, which is pants, but then it does weigh as much as a small building).

8.6? Is that it? In a car with a 5.3 litre V12? How much power does that thing put out?

Parkers wesite has its 0-60 time as 7.8s which is still surprisingly sluggish, all the other versions of the XJS are alot quicker EVEN the ones with the smaller engines

....but 0-100 is a different story.

So, anyone know (just like to know what the opposition has!)?
