Right,

First off, thanks Steve for solving my bizarre overheating problem *cough NO COOLANT *cough* :D

and for doing the rear brake pads :) If I'd known it was that easy I'd have done it myself ;) :p :D

Anyway, the weird problem ....

My car appears to be misfiring. Steve removed each HT lead in turn and it made NO DIFFERENCE to the running engine. Anyone any idea what the hell would cause this??

So, engine running .... Misfiring.

HT3 removed no difference. put back again.
HT4 removed no difference. put back again.
HT1 removed no difference. put back again.
HT2 removed no difference. put back again.

WTF?

Connected to the coil pack in the wrong order?

Connected to the plugs in the wrong order to start with?

Right,

Dizzy cap replaced and it's a little smoother. Misfire not so prominent now but still there at idle. New HT leads and Rotor Arm are coming tomorrow :)

Right,

Just spent 2 hours in the pissing rain doing 5 miles down the A12. FFS. It was flooded and everyone was diverted.

Never did get there to see the car, by the time we got to the diversion it was pitch black :(

grr

Dave

I'm having another go tomorrow.
