Right I am going to have a go at organising this if there is enough interest,

I am looking for peoples recomendations for a Rolling road too, must do autos as at least two of us want to run our cars. Plus we have to bear in mind that members may show interest from swindon, cheltenham and bristol areas etc.

I was hoping for early May?

Could you please list your board names if you are seriously interested in taking part , also pm me any details of RR's

Last RR day i went to was at Janspeed in Sailsbury, good day and nice laminated graphs with bhp and lb/ft @ the wheels figures (where it counts). I felt the rollers were a little generous there though...

There's probably a good chance they've changed their policy since then:)




We won't run auto's on the dyno as it puts too much strain on the engine

Ah, it sounds like they've fixed it, we did 2 power run days there with no graphs, is it a print out or a plotted graph, i.e filled in by hand??

If there back up running then Interpro would make a good venue.

cHiL's spoken to Powerstation and they said they wanted a minimum of 15 cars and would charge £35 each for a powerrun. I forgot to ask cHiL if he asked them about auto's, sorry.

Personally, I think £35 is a bit steep.

Autocraft definitely didn't know how to do auto when we went there a few years back :(

I dunno about wheel spin, but have you ever seen an auto kickdown on the rollers at 4000 rpm :wack: tyre smoke everywhere :D (and a flatspot on both my tyres :rolleyes: )

They gave up after that and I never knew where my graph would have gone :cry:

Janspeed use one of those 'single roller per wheel' rolling roads where the rear wheels sit on-top of the roller like the yanks do don't they? (as opposed to 2 rollers with the wheels sat in between)

I'll come along, but dont need a power run. (Last done by Interpro around June '06, which came with a printout!)

The Supra day that Halsey refered to was a really good day out.

Unfortunately Dave who operates the rollers couldn't make it that day, so no rolling road figures were done.

None the less they had:
- A car cleaning/washing area, with free use of cleaning products!
- A full Barbeque out front.
- And a bouncy castle with oversized boxing gloves, for those who got really bored. :wack:
