Easy,
First of all make sure you've got at least about 10 ladies. If not, go cruising a few times and spend about 15 credits a time.
Buy some calenders. I always keep over 60 in stock now as I've lost 9 ladiez before from not enough stock.
Send them to work for about 10 credits worth
They sell calenders.
Buy back about the same amount they sold. This will effectively give you money for nothing as you still have the same amount of calenders and more cash ... ie
Own 100 calenders
Own ;) 10 ladiez
Send them to work for about 15 credits.
Say they sell 25 calenders
You've just made $63 roughly
buy back the 25 calenders for $25
VOILA, $38 for nothing :)
repeat as required for larger amounts of cash :)

You must also keep your Import Models happy. Winning races will improve their happiness, however getting caught racing or stealing will lower their happiness.

Seems to be a law of diminishing returns on most things. Unsure if this is true with work, but it might be.
I always cruise in 10 credit 'chunks', after experimenting with 80 credit cruises and finding it only about 3 times better than 10 credits.

If you have over 500 you risk loosing it on bets anyhow. Best to spend it on parts for your car or just to 'keep'. Also, driver racing can't be taken away.
I've been picking on off-line drivers with only a few hoes. That indicates that they have been loosing, meaning you can nail 'em too! Also, it's worth looking at other's cars when they are tuning, so you can see under the bonnet and sometimes learn their poawer output.

Races get refused if they have no gas (in which case they loose pimp points) or if they have less than $500 to gamble.
Keep your cash under 500 unless you want to get raced.
I was saving for my training and just lost 500 in a race.
Then got caught by police and now on -900! ack!
Got it back though. Have lots of spare calanders. Send the girls to work until they start to get annoyed, then cruise. If you get close on calanders, do not run yourself out as you totally p!55 of the girls. Sell some car bits, then try to haul yourself back out
10 creds per 10 mins. Leave the PC on while you check SXOC etc!
You need to spend a LOT of creds to jack/steal cars and do over houses... at least 100 apparently.

Had an awsome 2 hours this morning. Left the PC running yesterday evening and had 300 credits to mess with.
I always only cruise for 10, work for 5 and prepare for a race with 1. It seems a LOT more efficient. cruising or working for 50 is a huge waste it seems.

I have had no luck overnight, they killed the server last night to swap over to a faster one, I go to bed and log back in to see the $4000 i couldn't shift, gone (got hammered in races) and most of my IMs got stolen to. Guess we were in the wrong timezone to capitalise on the upgrade.
I see alot of guys selling thier cars before logging off... you cant race em then. I tried but the game wouldn't let let me sell mine :( .

Server is a LOT faster now, as it was unplayable last night. 5 minute screen refreshes, and I'm on broadband!
More stuff:
Always have enough fuel and calanders. I always try to have 1000 fuel, Nos and 2000-300 calanders! That's because when I race, I usually have about 200-300 IMs by the time that I'm ready to sell, and they get through them. Always make sure that you have enough calanders because they HATE running out.
Open lots of windows. I have one always on the race range, one opened on the 'buy fuel/nos/calander window'. I open up 'target' cars for racing in seperate windows.
Don't sit with over 500 in your wallet as it gets raced out of you pretty fast by someone higher in the rankings.
As soon as you get a wodge, plough it into something. Ideally know what you want before you ear the cash.
This morning, a couple of guys have been all over me like a rash when I make cash. Lesson learned: Have seperate windows opened with EXACTLY what you want to buy there and checked, just waiting for you to hit 'enter' when the girls bring in the cash.
I basically sit and race solidly for race expereince and hoes until my cash looks a little short and the hoes are 90-100% happy. Then open some trade windows up and do about 3-8 rounds of working and spend the money fast, remembering to make sure that I have a decent amount of fuel and calanders, in case I get busted.
Victimise easy kills, but not too much, or they'll go out of their way to shaft you later.
Race Eclipses. I have NEVER EVER lost a race to one. they totally suck!
Ah..important one. Law of diminishing returns: Use the minimum credits for all normal actions. Cruise for 10, work for 5 and race prep for 1 (don't know if that works, but it seems to).
I don't cruise though. Race instead. You get girls AND ezperience. Driver level seems important.
Don't ever log out with over $500. If you have lots of money, plough it into 'junk' - more calanders and fuel, spare tyres to keep in your inventory are always good. Big stereo, bodykits and other stick on tat. Better to sell it for a loss later than just have the money taken off you.
Judging opponants is important. It's a gut thing but:
If they still have 'im a noobie' sticker, then they haven't figured out how to change it. They're probably an easy kill
Cars 'below their league' (ie a EVO amongs a load of Civics on the ladder) have usually a very low level of tuning. Untuned cars are toast. Vicimise the posers in their nice new cars! (Likewise, don't buy a new car until you can tune it properly as well!)
More:
cars 'above' their league can be one of 2 things, normally:
Hot driver who was at the top and then lost everything. The race experience can really screw you over. They normally have quite a lot of IMs
Someone who has a crap car and is 'saving' lots of money and spare parts for something big. Race them lots, as the car is normally substandard. If it's running a lot of 'stock' items, you can take em to the cleaners with impunity!
Also, when looking at a car, someone who has lots of stick-on tat probably thinks it's 'kewl' and knows nothing about cars and has wasted money on tat. Race them! You can also judge people from the bumper stickers. 'U suxx0rz' is probably some kid who sucks, but will hold a vindictive grudge.
Oh, my other secret is leaving on the PC while doing other things. It's a risk though, but I've been lucky so far

Explain this then. Ive got a mustang cobra with 400 and something BHP, coilovers, toyos, brakes and I get beaten by another cobra with just an exhaust on it. Not only does he beat me once, having betted a grand on it, he then challenges me straight away and takes another 3K from me leaving me with $33.

So how the hell does that work then seeing as Ive got twice the HP of this guy?
Also,how much experience do I need to get my driver skill to level 2?

There is a random factor, but...
Unless you saw him on the Dyno, it's difficult to judge the BHP of a car, due to all the stealthly stuff that it's hard to find out about, unless you see them on the dyno. Plus, he might have had weight reduction, which you never know about.
Driving experience makes a lot of difference. You just have to race more. About 20 races should see you to 2nd level, I think.
Keep that cash under 500 if you can. Sink the rest into crap that you can either sell for a loss (stereo, rims), tyres that you'll use later, or calanders.

Yeah it's 1000 if you let them accumulate. But you can buy them and get it over 1000

I log on about 3 times and do it.
Don't do actions for more than the minimum though. Cruises longer than 10 and works longer than 5 are definatly a bit of a waste. It takes longer to play, but work 5 cruise 10. I only ever cruise now when IMs are zero. Rest of the time I get them through races.
Winning races makes them more happy. Mine are at 100% now.
And a pimp-mobile helps too :)
I just got 20 pimp with a front fender and some alloys. Interestingly my handling improved by 4 too.
I also got 4 handling from a big c/f spoiler.
I'm going to start noting down the PF, handling and power increases various componants give me, ready for next month!

I think you need 20-30 races per improvement, so it gets harder work.
I just victimised someone and raced them about 20 times because I knew I could beat them. They had no IMs, so it was a slight credit waste, but it helped my experience and ratio a bit. Now level 7. Training for 8 will cost me $15000!

Hehe, sometimes you just KNOW someone is going to want payback.
I've had a couple of run-ins with people. Best to really victimise crewless runners :D Although most people don't take it too personally. Seems best to avoid miffing off too much the drivers with really immature bumper stickers because they're probably really immature! Also, avoid harrassing 'top' crews too much. I race em all, but try not to race the same member of 'jack'n you shiet' 20 times in a row :D (erm...expecting payback today after repeatedly racing a player in the top 20 with a 450BHP Ferrari that I could take to the cleaners!)

Had a good 'offline' time..about 20 people raced me and I won about 15! Mwhahaha. Now getting 870BHP from mine, but running out of things to do with it.
Anyone had any luck stealing/invading? I've tried 3 times with over 100 credits to plan and case the place, and not had a shred of luck.
I'm trying to avoid the nicking stuff way to victory though, as racing and working is more fun and probably a lot more profitable. Only time I try to steal is when I have 700 credits left and have to go to (real) work!

Abuse anyone in an eclipse, to gain the experience level, I wish I had done loads more races at a lower level cos now im finding the opposition a bit tuff. A dont train up a level too soon because all the easy pickings soon disappear when the cash starts flowing from the biaches :)

That's pretty low.
Dampers help a lot. C/f spoiler is good for a few points. Yokohamas are good for a few more. Alloys are ok and add HUGE PF (about 70!). Bodykit helps too.
Driver skill seems to help. I quite often race people repeatedly when they have 0 IMs, just for the experience.
I'm trying to control the amount of money I earn now, so as not to get too 'high' in the ratings. Just going to totally max the scooby before upgrading.

you seen the landrover you can get if your a gold member (no austin powers pun intended :) )?

Don't worry, we all suck at first. It's real hard work to start with, and then you'll get the hang. Remember to only cruise for 10 and work for 5, and I've yet to have any success at jacking, theft or invasion

I was like 50th or something but then my 750hp supra got stolen, went down to position 2000, got an eclipse tuned it to about 450hp and then that got stolen :mad: I then left the game for a day or so. Went back to it and now I am about 150 odd with a 550hp civic crx and seem to win **** loads of races. I am addicted. Got my revenge on Mambastu at last in his untuned S13! ;)

Yup. A lot of newbies try, but have little chance of succeeding. 5 people all tried to carjack me and failed in the first day. It's the experienced players who are the worse culprets.
Level 5 or 10 doesn't seem to make much odds, really. :(
How can you tell that a person has no money to race?
Coz when i go to race I always get this message and I cant do anything about, plus I loose credits whilst doing it?????
And its really annoying that when you have just worked and earned yourself $2000 or so, your connection fails, (dial-up boys) and when you come back to log on, you have $0.

its a tough game to figure out the knack of but once you get into it, its pretty good.
the best times to go on seem to be in the mornings when all the american guys are offline, its really quick and you stand more chance of having your money long enough to spend it.
You have no way of telling if people can or cannot race, unfortunatly.
I tend to play in the mornings as well. US has just woken up... I can't log on!
You get experience win or loose in races, which is cool. Level 10 now! Level also gets your hoes to make more dough!
My mustang is pretty cool. Was about to race another Insane member AND someone in 'norwich modified' and got dumped! arg!

I got so annoyed with the stealing and cheating that I have stopped playing, every time i buy a car it gets stolen (in one hit) the second i get logged out by the server. Methinks I will play next session as my christmas spirit has gone through the floor through frustration.
The whole thing has driven me to drink large amounts of beer and race my mates Char-G to try and calm down. ;)

If you insure your car, it's a lot less annoying when it gets nicked. Also, I've started to avoid overly flashy and expensive cars (or ones that look expensive!)

I've got level 12 driver skill i think with a 1200-1300hp 300zx and is still lose most of my races!! Siranui, I keep trying to beat u but lose nearly every goddamn race to ya :( S13s are just too hard to beat obviously ;) I still seem to lose to civics so there must be some monster ones about or I'm just ****. I've lost a few races where the end comment is "Your tyres are about to explode". They wear down far too quickly.
Has anyone at the higher levels found that boost upgrades/weigh reduction/nitrous etc seem to require advancement of two/three levels of skill before you can purchase them again? Its a bit irritating. :mad:

You see this vehicle parked on the side of the road. It appears out of place in accordance to the surroundings - almost as if it were abandoned. Curious, yet suspicious, you decide to walk by and take a closer look. It is Flint Black Metallic and appears to be naturally aspirated. The car has a stock ride height and is rolling on Stock rims with Stock tires. As for the brakes, they appear to be Stock units. From the rear of the vehicle, it looks be sporting a Stock exhaust system. It also doesn't seem to have an alarm.
You also notice a bumper sticker on the rear that reads:I own j00!

Man, there is alot of posts, so excuse me if this has been covered before because i havent had time to read em all, but here is a good way to jack vehicles..
You need alot of turns, the more you can spend planning it and doing it the better. Say, 50 for the planning and 150 for the boost, maybe more.. Wait untill the driver is in "Prowling" mode and read the description of the car within the profile. It should read "almost as if it were abandoned". It means the driver is away and thats the time to strike! If the car has no alarm, things are way easier. But be prepared for the concequences if they find it was you!

I had my 300zx stolen this morning - worth about 330K :eek: Why is it that all three times I've had a car stolen the culprit is 'Unknown'? Its fecking irritating cos I can't do anything to get the fecker back. :mad: Nevermind got a 1000bhp S15 already ;) With plenty more to get out of it I think.
Ive got just under a 1000bhp Scoobie and have had 18 people try to nick it:eek:
I have put on Security Stage 10 on it, so we will c how long I can keep it for until it gets nicked:(
On the other hand, I might buy a new car... any ideas???????

NSX are a great handling and light car and there are lots of Honda upgrades available. R-34 Skylines are decent too.

Quick tip to avoid theft..
Take all of your parts off the car before you log out, that way no-one will bother stealing it while youre away..
The down side is that you have to Dyno tune your car again, but if you write down the correction values you should be sorted..
Why do i always loose to everyone i race? haha... I know why.. Civic!

But then u'll lose all your races along with all your import model if ya have any! I just lost my 1200hp S15 as well :( Now I've gt a Porsche turbo with 1300hp. Its crap I'm gonna get a Skyline soon.
Also, won't you loose it all if home invaded?
Better to leave it on and win more races when offline. Good for race experience. You might get a car nicked, but just keep insured.

Okay, i am hooked....
Had a bit of a hard time though, some git called dsmrunn raced me 12 times in a row and cleaned me out, left me with 2 import models when i started with 300+.
Then the crew i was with give me the heave ho.
Qualtiy game though, rather amusing.
Some one invite to the insane crew (i had a R34 last time i looked)
Sold the scoobie and I had to have a 180sx... now currently driver skill 10 or 11 i think? and 1000bhp of RWD fun:D

Driver skill is piddling about around skill 4 - that'll teach me to join late. Still, the game resets in a week and a couple days so I'll have a chance to go from day 1 :D
What's the best way of gaining experience? I understand it increases with each race, but does it vary on what opponent you choose, whether you win/lose, and whether you race for cash or IM's only?

It think it doesnt matter whether you race for cash or IM's. I think its the same, you have to race about 30 times to increase your skill level.
All in all, just race who you can, I am not sure whether winning increases your skill higher than if you were to lose??
Anyone else know??

Only level 11 with a 1065hp skyline. Raced a couple of people from the sxoc with mixed results.
Had a Civic - got jacked
Got a Skyline - got jacked
Got an S15 - got jacked
Learned my lesson and stopped cruising, now i pick on people on the dyno who I can easily beat to get the IM's, but I dont need them, I want to get to a high experience level like siranui.
Tip: When you buy a new car its tuned to 100%, dont change the settings when you buy goodies, just do a dyno run and it will stay at 100% :D
The trouble I have now is that I cant find that many cars in my race range that I can beat, I get whooped by Civics all the time, I have taken to leaving cash in the bank to loose some value, maybe I can beat some people lower down the rankings.
I have a question, why are we not all in one big crew? I like being able to race everyone but being in the same team as all you guys would be kewl :D

I'm like 56th or something now worth about 5.5million :eek: NSX seems to be the best car I have had so far. Got about 1450hp out of it and am only skill level 16 with two more boost upgrades to go :D Not looking forward to it resetting in a weeks time :rolleyes:

Im back ! had trouble getting online over past few weeks, then broke my elbow on 30th dec and spent new year in hospital :(
Having been away for ages, i am behind everyone but will use what time there is left on this month to learn more ready for the new game next month ! and now I am off work nursing a painful arm full of screws and wires I will have plenty of time to mess about on here ! ! yay !

I've lost 5 million networth, but my car is still worth 430K with no modifications but had 1400hp still :confused: I've just bought a few more upgrades again and my NSX is over 2000hp :D :D And I am ranked at 2000. No one seems to be able to beat me ;)
The moderators suggest selling your car and starting again
But according to the sale page, I'll only get $1799 ish for my car - even tho my vehilce worth is well over $18000.

im only on level 7 and all my mods went as well but it still said it was 1089hp so ive added a few mods and im now 1700hp, :D :D :D :D

- No more race spamming. Once you race and BEAT someone, you can not race him again until you race and beat someone else.
- There is a soft cap on the number of import models you can cruise for.. Once you reach this limit, you will not longer pick up any more IM's from cruising. This upper limit is dependant on your pimp factor.

Just one thing - I sold my car (which was worth appx $18k) as had been suggested in the forums since ALL of the mods had vanished....
I got about $1700 for it and now that you've given me $20 my networth is STILL $24793, which it was before the $20k!!!
I bought a new car, didn't change the net worth.
Used all mu remaining cash to buy nitrous and calenders and now networth is under $4k!!!! Car is worth $22k lone!

As I said earlier I lost my original networth of 5.? million. But suddenly this morning when i was racing someone ranked at 1800 or summat my networth shot back up to 5.9million :eek: They really f*cked it up as everyone who had ridiculously powered cars now have even more ridiculously powered cars. Probably some people out there with well over 3000hp. I might just leave it til the game resets in a week now as everything has gone tits up.
I am. Can't be bothered now. My Skyline had loads of honda parts fitted to it and lost loads of bits :(
