Hi Guys

In line with exhaust group buy I am now also offering a chance to get a FMIC as well.

The core size is a massive 600x300x76mm in size. The FMIC's include all pipes, hoses and clamps needed. You may need to skim some of your bumper and loose your foglights for fitting though, and of course put a hole in your battery tray but thats all routine

As you can see the I/Cs and pipes are all shiny as well :)

As with the exhausts, I will place the order at the end of the month and will require payment the same time, once ordered they will arrive in about 2 weeks :)

Hi Bobbitt

They are manfactured by a company in China (aren't they all) not sure on the manacturer, but they seem to be more than up for the job and comparible to the hybrid I/C's :) The power rating is upto 650hp, but I would only like to run them on cars upto about 450bhp to be honest

I'm finding out about the clamps, and will hopefully get pics soon :)

Hey,

I have 2 questions: 1) are the pipes made in stainless steel? 2) Bit awkward really but how would those coolers compare to the ones made by apexperformance (type 1) in terms of lag (backpressure) and cooling capacity??

Cheers!

Dan@DB-Power
01-03-2007, 14:17
Hi Adams

I think the pipes are stainless steel, I would have though so

I would say they are very similar to the Apex Type 1's :)

Yea mate, im 99% convinced :D

Just one thing - i assume the pipe thickness is same/bigger than as standard on the car? Looks really thin in the pic, but i assume thats because the core is big making the pipes look small? My car originally had an apex type 1 fitted, so am i right in assuming i should have do to little to no work? Already have hole in batter bay, cut bumper and no fogs :)

Edit - what about better clamps if they becomem available? Dont want pipes poping off :)

If so to above, i'll take one and can pay by paypal/bank tranfser/cheque :) up to you.

Dan@DB-Power
07-03-2007, 11:56
Hi Clouder

The pipework will be bigger than the standard :) but I can't say about the thickness of the walls of the pipework as I haven't seen one yet :(

You are right about the battery hole modding and the bumper/fog light trimming/removing

As for the clamps, I'm going to see how these ones work as new mikalor's work out to be alot :(

Im definately very interested, but would i be able to wait till you get one in and check pipe thickness/clamp quality etc?

Im happy to lay down a sizeable deposit to secure one if all is well with them? Or would you only want full payment? Let me know :)

I would have thought jubilees would be fine. I had some i/c pipework made to fit my last car with no raised section on the ends of the pipes. With samco hoses and jubilee's at not far off 1Bar It never poped off once. :)

Hey Dan, you couldn't supply me with just the pipes could you? I bought the cheap Apex FMIC and managed to snap the small tube near the throittle body off trying to get a pipe off it :(

Hopefully your stuff is a bit more 'sturdy!'

Hi Rich

I might be able to chap, as I was planning on nicking the hot side out of one the kits for my S13 (should be the same) So that would leave me with a cooler and a cold side pipe :)

i picked one of these up off dan last friday and they are excellent, couldnt wait to fit it so i was out till 11:30 that night fitting it in the cold with some small floodlight so i could see. only a few problems, i got differnt brackets than the ones shown in the pic so they didnt fit but i just went down the skips at the industrial estate and made my own  and if you have a standard dumpvalve i couldnt get that rigid plastic pipe to fit so you can either remove the dv and block it off or i got some 35mm radiator hose from halfords for about £9 and that does the job spot on, also im running it at 1bar and its had some abuse and the jubilee clips have been fine so far

also ive attatched a pic, the cold pipe isnt on in the picture but you get the idea :)

Have already blanked off the standard re-circ, so hopefully the bung will fit. If not, will shove it back in lathe and turn some more off
