View Full Version : Your super low sidemounts
Hi (original huh)
Any idea if your super low sidemount subframes will fit a Sparco Evo L seat? I have no idea what the base size of this seat is though :(
It's for an S14a
Thanks :)
(my current subframes are sitting me just a little too high and it makes it difficult to heal-toe as my legs are up against the steering wheel :( - I'm 6' tall ya'see )
Hi Cluck,
I know a Sparco Evo 2 seat won't fit our seat rails, in general only normal or slightly bigger than normal seats will fit, anything wider needs something custom made up.
I don't know how the dimensions of an Evo L compare to Evo 2 or Evo though???

I think the Evo 2 and Evo L are pretty much the same seat, so it looks like it won't fit :(
Oh well, just gives me a good excuse to replace the steering wheel :D
Thanks anyway
The EVO L and EVO 2 are the same seat and won't fit a standard DW frame ;)

It's true, I have both the Evo and the Evo 2 and have just measured the bases.
Evo is 41cm, the Evo 2 is 44.8cm.
These rails go to 41.5cm.

:)
I'd seen the Sparco seat dimensions page before, but it doesn't actually appear to give a measurement for the base width anywhere
Guess I'll have to stick with the current rails and get a smaller wheel :D

Hi :).. If the width of the seat between the mounting holes is no more than 41.5cm's then yes it will.. If it's wider, it may require some modifiction to fit..
Basically, most standard width seats fit fine, and most wide or super wide seats won't fit without modification :)
Sorry to bounce this back up, but do you sell any seat mountings that aren't rails?
Only asking because I've realised that I will never need to move my seat forwards or backwards, so rails are a waste of time really :D . And that way, if I'm right, I can drop the seat height a bit :)
We can get hold of normal sidemount brackets, but they're not a direct fit, would require some customisation/fabrication to match up to the Nissan floorpan.
You can have a look at the bits and peices we sell for seat fitment in the shop... http://www.driftworks.com/catalog/index.php?cName=interior-safety&osCsid=383caa71d7ef681b9e4052c90306da12
