Did any of you guys see this yesterday? Just on a day out with the Missus to visit the National Aquarium, was just merging onto a one way bit and this Mitsi went past in a huge cloud of smoke. I mean, so much smoke that I couldn't see where i was going; he must just have holed a piston or something!
Anyway, I was busy paying attention to where I was going, then the Missus says:
"There's flames coming out of that car!"
Me thinking it just popped a flame out of the exhaust, but when I looked the underside of the car was properly on fire, big yellow flames licking out, and the guy was just carrying on driving, he must not have seen! In fact he continued up the hill at quite a rate :eek:
I'm guessing he holed a piston or majorly blew the HG, then the oil cap/dipstick popped out and blew oil all over the hot engine bay, looked like an oil fire to me.
Anyone see/hear anything about this?
