Hi Dan (and Amy, if you're reading). :)
I've got your 330mm Corvette discs on the front now (see note after this) and was wondering if you can get hold of any larger brake pads that fit the S14 calipers and bit more of the disc - but not from EBC... Can you get hold of anything better, is what I'm saying.
(Note about the 330mm kit)
When me and jibber fitted them the other week, we found we had to grind a tiny bit of the rear of the hub flat on the lower bolt hole to allow for the new relocation bracket. If you could look at the back of the front hub, where the bottom oem hole is, they have already machined the surface down flat for the oem bolt. Heading in towards the centre of the hub, the unmachined surface has a slight lip that needs grinding down flat because the relocation brackets, being a flat plate, extend upwards straight towards the top hole and will not sit flush when done up tight. Not a problem as such, but worth mentioning in the fitting instructions if you keep using the same design brackets.

Cheers for the update, I will have a looksy
As for the pads, what sort of makes were you after?

Something like Porterfields I was thinking of trying next, if I could. Not a particular fan of the DS2500's I have atm when they're cold, so I'm not after those. They've been on for about 30,000 miles or more, mind, so they could well be glazed by now, but they've never felt that great from cold, tbh.
Other makes I would like to try are Project Mu and Endless, but if the pad shape you do is a special modification to other cars fitment pads, then I imagine it would be hard for you to get the Jap stuff done.

Hi Tom
Sorry chap, I haven't had a chance yet
I'll have a looksy tonight though :)
Dan
Porterfields are pretty crap compared to the DS2500's

How about Endless pads.
I have seen quite a few DVD's showing very high spec Jap cars and they all seem to run Endless pads

I'm pretty sure Endless won't sell them, as the original application isn't for a jap car :(

I've never used them, sorry. I went straight from standard Nissan/Blueprint stuff to DS2500's about two or three years ago.
What's the original aplication?

I've used potterfields both on the road and on track and they're certainly not 'crap'! Cold bite is a bit better than DS2500's but on track, using Dans 315mm kit they do fad if you drive hard on a tight track like Brands.
I haven't been able to get DS2500's to fade yet :wack: but the discs went all wobbly on me :D
I think it's a guy called Smithy or something on this board who can get the pads.. which I believe come from USA
I run Potterfield on the back now with DS's on the front and it works very well. If I wasn't planning on doing track days I'd stick with Potterfields as they're ~£80 for the front and about £60 for the back! Both pads create a lot of dust though :(
Just my opinion, of course. :)

I believe he's the only UK supplier.
Another fan of Porterfields  Excellent performance and value for money compared to DS2500s...
