View Full Version : How Geek are you?
As we seem to have quite a few IT bods on here give this a go
Geek Meter (http://www.vnunet.com/geekometer)
I got 36% and the following message ...
You are certainly no computer expert, but you can probably tell a keyboard from a mouse almost instantly. Hone those skills, learn to use Word and maybe even investigate email. Who knows, it might come in useful if you ever manage to get a job.
Which is slightly worrying as I've been doing the job for 12 years:eek: , no wonder I just surf all day  :D

Is there any better place to be than just above half way? Yes, there is, Mr. Tediously Average! There's nothing so dull as middle-of-the-road mediocrity, and that's you, all right. You've either spent an unhealthy amount of time forcing your inadequate intellect to understand the little you know, or you've settled for knowing the minimum you could get away with, you lazy git.
:D :D

You're pretty much a nerd, sure enough. So if that's what you wanted to hear, well done, ish. I mean you're a "kind-of" geek, but definitely not gifted. Either you're a hard worker who's as thick as two short sales executives, or you just can't be bothered with detail. Whichever, you're a loser.
That sorta figures as Im an IT Techie :p

Solid, if unimaginative scoring. You probably know enough about computers to get by, though I bet you have to bluff a bit when it comes to talking to your kids/IT department. Pay a bit more attention when others are trying to help you and you might not be such a drain on everyone's time.
Not bad for a web designer/developer with 12 year's internet development experience too :D
I do like to describe myself as the bridge between management and the technical types :)

lol, quite a good waste of time:) You are 69% geek
You are practically computer-literate, in an almost real sense. This could be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on whether you use your knowledge for good or for ill.
does this mean i can rule the world with my amd athlonxp?:D

You're on a particularly useless cusp known as "being a bit of a nerd". Nobody really trusts what you say about computers, but at the same time, they keep asking you really annoying questions that they could answer for themselves if they just spent five minutes thinking about it. You also have to spend a lot of time not having a life in order to keep your slightly inadequate skills up to date. You have a choice: work harder and learn more, or give up and start to enjoy life.
63%, quite disappointed it was that low tbh! ;)

Frighteningly low for my geeky job.
There definatly weren't enough Britney pictures though.

Thats really scarey considering three years ago I was a drug fuelled animal that shagged anything in a skirt....
