Anyone fancy this? There are 4 dates in February, for full days of 20 minute sessions, which isn't ideal, but... £105 is very cheap for Donington :)

I might make it a first outing for my new steed, if I can get the brakes sorted in time :)

Probably so cheap as they are all quiet, road silenced days, boo hiss.

They're 98db days.

I'll be up for testing, I mean a trackday, towards the end of March - need to practise for Time Attack :)

Might do - would rather it be a circuit I'm going to race on really...

That's what bungs are for ;)

Or a standard exhaust like mine... :o

I'm tempted, but I really need to get my cars volume tested somewhere first :)

what turbo, frontpipe and exhaust setup?
We can make a pretty god guess.

noise tests can be carried out at most tracks (if you tell them your thinking a booking a trackday there)

20 min sessions and 1 every hour is a bit regimented :(

I never understand why organisers do this, you only get 2 hours max and some of that will be warm up / slow down time

May be its safer for all cars to do a slow lap together

I thought it was to group together, e.g. novice's in first 20 mins of every hour, intermediate next 20mins, expert next 20mins, back to novices etc.

may be, I still think it sucks :(

I spend a good deal of time at these things fricking around with bits on the car, changing stuff etc, 20mins on, on the hour doesn't really suit that kind of thing :wack:

this would of been good if it wasnt sessioned and it wasnt 98db:(

alternatively for a little more (still cheap for donigton park really)

Its fine, especially for newbees or people like Jez with cars that cant do long sessions. Personally I prefer open pitlane or 30 on 30 off sessions, even 30 on 30 off by the time you have filed out onto track, and filed back in its only ~25 max "flat out" time

98db is not that hard, my car pulls 88-90db on one of those static tests - decatted Mongoose  you guys with your loud cars  :D

mine was origionally 108db then with a bung in down to 101db ish

then fitted a silenced front pipe, then a slilenced midsection, and with that and a bung i still got black flagged at donnington  but must of been borderline as i went out again and ddint get black flagged

on my new car though somebody has taken the time and effort to remove all the silencers on the exhasut and weld in a free flow section so i need to buy some silencers and weld them back in :wack: its also got a screemer pipe though which wont effect static tests but ive a feeling places like donington where they have it situated on track and measure it as you drive by on the long straight ill have no chance at all
