Oi Channers. Ordering my rebuild kit and such like today - going to need a hand with the mekkanikuls :wack: of it all tho... being that I'm a complete gimp at car work :D

Ordering some exhaust heat wrap for the manifold and downpipe at the same time, and some goodridge hoses for the calipers... and some turbo braided hoses are on the way too. Will pay in beer & pizza to any willing helpers :sxoc: :thumbs:

Finally!!!! Brakes should only take an hour... and the turbo hose should only take an hour... never put heat wrap on before...

Ideally a gap between .025" and .035" should be used on high horsepower applications where an inductive style ignition system is utilized. Engines equipped with capacitive discharge ignition systems may use gaps larger than .035". It’s very important to learn how to read the plugs after a pass. A plug can tell you a lot of what is happening in the combustion chamber. See Figure 2 for more on this important detail.

First Sunday of every month the UJCC have a met at Exeter Services. Gather from 2pm, they hang about chatting and stuff for about 60--90 mins, then a spirited drive to a pub for food. Elvis is going by the looks of it so you will have a little company :)

Even if it was £30 that would mean you'd need to set a £1 a side each day for the month!

The only acceptable excuses for not turning up are... work... family death...blindness... dead car... or your dead (even then something could be arranged!)

Although i suppose i could just look at it as being another run on the road, which ive been doing for the last 3 months, and so it technically shouldnt cause any more damage than normal!?? :)

Good news on the cheque dude :) Hope you didn't settle straight away (unless you got an amazing first offer *unlikely*).

I have this chap coming from London to look at it anyway. If he doesn't buy it/offer a reasonable figure, then I will prob help you guys out with parts. He also has a manual 'slightly tuned' black s13 he has been using till he can get an s14a so I have asked a quick question on that. Never know I might come back with a black s13 so i can experience the chocolate bearings :p

Can anyone tell me what the engines to look out for on the s13's and ones to avoid (apart from ones that sound like a large ball bearings!)
