No offence Andy http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif but have you declared your mods? 'Cos if that quote's with them declared, I'm being screwed over... http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/frown.gif

Hi Daimo,

Age 27, insurance company 'Cosmos direkt', paying 600€ (that's 370...wheresthatstupidkey...GBP) per year (in Germany).

Ok ok, that's difficult to compare, but I noticed that you pay a lot to your insurance in GB. Hm, with all that EU conformity stuff, isn't there a possibility to insure cars with foreign insurance companies? Of course, it will be a disaster when you need your insurance, I guess.

greetings

Tomcat

To add to Tomcat's answer, I'm 29, and pay ~£450 to "ineas insurance company".
And yes, that's true, you guys pay ****ing much for your insurances! :(
The only advantage I can see is that you are allowed to mod your cars....

Cheers

26 yrs old.....I paid 630 quid for my Bima when I had it...I changed the policy over to my 2*****, with all mods declared an I got a 35 quid refund..... (Fully Comp all the way!)

I haven't declared the dump valve... and i ain't declaring the T28 when it goes in this week...nor the FMIC when that goes in....(I might change my mind on that!

oh yeh I'm with the Flux...full no claims at the end of the month hopefully (touch wood. knock knock)....

26 is still young...(that's what i tell myself anyway)!!

D

Crikey! Thought I was the youngest SX owner.. obviously not, feel all old n'stuff now ;)

20yrs old.

But I'll still retain my 'prat paying the biggest premium' accolade...

0 NCB
Held license for 11 months (was 9 months driving when I got the car..)

The fact I had only just turned 20 when I bought the car didn't bother them, the fact I had 0 NCB wasn't too much of a problem, the fact I'd only held my license for 9 months, however...

£2237 TPFT

I got screwed royally, in the end after nonsense happened, it wasn't even the cheapest quote I could've gotten by a good £400, however, I'd already paid the premium in bulk, signed the proposal to stop my temp. cover note expiring, and blahdiblah. Nastiness. I'm with Sabre, who themselves aren't too bad really, it was the brokers that buggered up big time, and ultimately it's my word against theirs as to what was said over the phone (unrecorded conversations, might I add..) so I don't stand a chance.

Only redeeming factor is that my insurance drops to £1200 February 2003, Heh. Only.. a few months to go.. :(

I only pay 200 more than u and I'm 8 years younger.

I only pay 200 more than u and I'm 8 years younger.

How sad, isn't it ? ;)

The exact quote is £390 anyway :p
The fact is that I'm insured under my own name for only 4 years now...
I use to drive for more than 10 years now, but none of my previous cars were insured under my name... :(
Before Ineas, I used to pay £1050 !!! for the 200... They told me it was because I was under 27, not married, and no children... ****ers:mad:  , but when I got over 27, they didn't change the price... (and I never had a accident where I was in fault...)
Anyway, the insurance cost on that car is strangely high: for instance, I pay something like £400 for a Kawazaki 1000 Tomcat, and no motorbike before that...
