Moving house so I am going to start fresh. What do you all recommend. What are tesco like?
If you don't mind paying a little bit extra (couple a quid), then Zen Internet are very hard to beat.
www.zen.co.uk
Their support is second to none, I emailed them once with a question, I had a response in 9 minutes!! Got to be some sort of record! I know they win awards too so it can't just be me! :)
I would have gone with them for my ADSL some time ago, but Pipex were offering free connection so I ended up with them.
Also, have a look at...
www.demon.net
www.plusnet.co.uk
www.clara.co.uk
Demon are VERY good and there ADSL service is pretty darn impressive!

Don't think broadband is available in stocksbridge
I know nothing about IT but I know Tiscali don't charge anything for giving me access to the web, so it does everything I want for feck all :)

Use this to pick your ISP:
http://www.ispreview.co.uk/
I chose care4free.net because they used to donate a portion of their profit to charity. They stopped doing that but they are still a good ISP.
DO NOT GET AOL..............

ANYONE BUT BT!!!!!!!!
Do not choose BT anything. if the ISP's name has the letter B followed by a T anywhere in its name, then do not use them!
