View Full Version : I did something really stupid today
Have been off work with a bad back for most of the week. Had arranged for Bren to deliver some goodies to my workplace for me. Today was the first day that I could bend enough to get my shoes on so, being the idiot that I am (& not liking the thought of my parcels staying at work all weekend ;) ), I decided I'd go back to work. What a prat! Started to hurt sitting at my desk after about an hour...took me 10 mins to get up out of my chair after my last meeting...left work at 1pm and have spent the rest of the day in sheer agony! :(:(
I'm gonna spend the rest of the weekend as I have much of the week, sitting on a hard chair with a hot water bottle and a ready supply of painkillers - what a waste! :( And my goodies from Bren are still on the back seat of the car cos my ****ing back is too bad for me to unload them!
...But...on the plus side, when I'm better, I actually have shiny things to play with :D:D
Oh, and if you want an interesting driving experience, take 2 Syndol on an empty stomach, wait an hour then set out. Don't do it on busy roads though! ;):D
Heh, this is the TAC bad back rant! I hate bad backs!! Just got up to top up the water bottle and it said 'nooo, i don't think so'...must look really funny to anyone watching as I bob up and down several times trying to get my nerve up to actually stand up lol. And every move I make has to be punctuated with swearwords...'ooh you ****', 'oh ****', 'this ****ing back, what a ******* ****ing thing' etc etc...no wonder the people at work were looking at me strange lol.
Foreswore the painkillers tonight in favour of alcohol - am missing the works xmas party because of this ****ing back - so might as well get my enjoyment somewhere lol. Never mind, peeps, tomorrow I'll be back on the tablets so I'll be a little more restrained :) But....I really do think that hell is just like real life, except you have a bad back...and maybe have to drive a corsa as well :)
hope you feel better soon Tac, don`t forget once you fit shiney things you have to keep polishing them:p :D :D :D

Maybe you need an osteopath or chiropractor ;)

She obviously needs more training then mate!:)
What's up with your back, eh, Tracey? We can't have a 200sx girl not being able to bend over forwards easily... ;) :D
Sorry :) Seriously, what's up with it?
:D Thanks for the good wishes, guys :D Back is slowly getting better...I've been up for 6 hours today  and can still walk so must be improving :) The fact that I'm back on the puter says loads, because this chair is well uncomfortable, have hardly been able to sit in it for the last week! Going to take tomorrow off work to be on the safe side, then will hopefully ( ) be back in for Weds.
Tombs, it's only a muscular thing. Second time I've done it this year...don't know what causes it but it lasts for about 1½ weeks each time. Complete pain in the arse ;) and you others that suffer it know that it's complete misery while it lasts because you can't do anything to lessen the pain. Over the last few days I've perfected the art of falling onto the bed with a scream, it hurting too much to bring both legs up lol. Have also discovered the joys of being on my own in a king-size bed...now one side is covered in books n remote controls, phones etc - all within handy reach of an invalid  :D
Anyway, I can walk and talk and haven't taken any painkillers for several hours now, so life is good :D:D Tomorrow, if I'm recovered, I'll get my new toys out the car and see what exactly I bought :)
Darren, you won't see them installed on Saturday, but I might bring a coupla bits along so you can take a look :D
