Buffy!
:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy
We've been doing my turbo gaskets today  except it's not going well :( so I call up Chris and ask him for any suggestions on how you get those bastard manifold nuts off :smash:
He has two suggestions - 1) Bend a spanner, and 2) Buffy
So I call Buffy up, he's under a car doing something :D but I ask him if I can borrow some bent spanners because we're having problems getting the manifold off. He says he'll be round in a bit. A while later I'm starting to get a bit worried because I was hoping to be done tonight  So I give him a call and ask him if I can pop round and collect the spanners to borrow because I just remembered a friend who's helping me has satnav. Not to worry, he says, he's almost done and he'll be round soon.
Sure enough he is, with an assortment of bent-up spanners :D ... and then he leaps under the car and starts attacking those bastards!
I'm totally gobsmacked, he's worked a whole week on cars, worked the weekend on people's cars, now it's the brink of Sunday evening when he should be going out and he's just lept on mine! :notworthy:notworthy
I really really owe you, Buffy :D

Fingers crossed.

Good work again guys :notworthy
It should be noted that I did next to bugger all on Spesh's car this time :) I did take out the engine in about the same time it would take him to remove the starter motor :p then put the timing belt on as spesh is gay and didn't want to do it. I also helped put the engine back in.
JOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW did loads
Spesh sulked when things didn't go right for him ;) then forgot to tighten a hose clip on the hot pipe resulting in paniked phone call less than 5 mins after he left :D
Glyn (guy from the garage round the back of mine) cleaned up all the mess Spesh made

well as I have nothing against Jews im sorry that was taken out of context especially as to my knowledge Joe isnt a Jew and the comment was made tongue in cheek as in Jew 'fro. If Joe is indeed a Jew then I apologise and must say that I did not mean it in any racial slur, I said it in jest.

Hi mate, yet another one going TT ;) :whip: He is under a car at the moment, but will be online later...just send him a PM and he will read it within the next hour which is sooner than when he will answer his phone as he is working.

Ok cool, I have droppen him a PM already.
Yeah, im thinking my 14a would suit an RB26, so I might be adding to that register next year ;)
Thanks for the reply!

You looking to buy the one in pieces?
Evilchap
21-12-2007, 12:51
Certainly am, now have many pictures and much info on it. :)
Needs a few bits doing, but still is looking like a good plan... why do you ask, or just being nosey?
Yeah, being nosey!
The problem Buffy had with mine (which was also bought in pieces) was hours and hours spent finding the bits, which do turn into a massive pile (mountain in fact!) if you dont take it apart yourself and order it all accordingly.
Evilchap
21-12-2007, 13:22
This was and is my concern also, but he appears to have many of the bits, and is honest about the ones he doesn't...
and as they say, they price is right :wack:
