They AFFECT your speedo.

The EFFECT of the change is a different indicated speed.

Affect is a verb, effect is a noun. Easy to remember "active is A"

Sorry, pet peeve!

(Using the calcs above) - A tyre/wheel combo that makes your speedo under read by about 6% will make your speedo GPS accurate ;)

Ive got 18's on my s13, and it came up it's 3.3% to slow so at 60mph it will read 62mph so not to bad

dunno if this is any help, but ive always believed more in real life than theory,

my s13 (known for overreading spedos ive heard) with 18/225/40 wheels and tyres on the speedo reads exactly the same as my sat nav speedo, which are supposed to be very accurate when at a steady speed,

bit of a real life experience there for anyone interested

Interesting

My wife has a Toyota Emina (import) that reads 60 when you are doing 70
I'm sure the wheels/tyres are way to small 195/70/15

to correct this I may need some 215/65/18s wey hey
