The Heiniken brewery tour is supposed to be good, but we didn't manage to get that far away from the red light district to visit it.

Yep there are loads of shops that sell shrooms, liberty cap, fly agaric, mexican stuff. Awesome. :)

A few coffee shops sell beer, not many though. LOL
A few cappucinos are a good thing after a few joints else you aint going nowhere. :)

I belive there is a park where you can legally go and shoot up smack, not sure ithat's bullsh!t or not though but there's always the hotel room.

I'm going Saturday morning, coming back Sunday night :(

I used all my holiday allowance this year going to Japan :(

I find a nice cup of tea goes quite nicely with a few J's, and some shrooms ought to make it quite an experience :) Might pass on the brown tho! :eek: There's enough of that round these parts already :(

I just hope I can avoid all the typical British lager louts... There's nothing worse than going on a nice relaxing holiday, and finding some loud drunken Brits :rolleyes:

Yeah brown is pretty bad here too. :(

I went this time last year and it was pretty desolate, was during the week though so might be a bit more lively at the weekend.
Very few tourists full stop, let alone brits.

Pretty packed at easter and in the summer though.

The Amsterdam council are trying to ban brits on the piss stag do's etc. :)

I'm not sure if it's an urban legend or not, but I heard a story about a guy who went to 'dam on his stag do. On the last inght, his mates chipped in £50 each, took him to a brothel and asked for "the most expensive thing you do". The stag was taken into a back room and tied to a chair, and then an enormous naked fat bird came out and shat in his mouth :eek: :eek: :confused: :(

when i went there i wasnt able to look at a banana in the same way ever again!!!:eek: i didnt know that it had other uses than eating! well that fat black bird sure eats funny anyway :)
the red light district isnt what i expected it feels like such a safe city and not as dodgy as u might think, and if u get offered some brown or ecstacy on the street its always in a polite way, nothing nasty about it, its a cool place.

a word of advice for u, keep an eye out for maniac cyclists and trams, they sneak up on u and f*ck knows how many tourist get nailed by them every year!

Advise, Hmmm, as strange as it may sound when going to the Dam, I'd say don't smoke to much, I'm not exagerating even slightly when I say, I cannot remember a single second of my 3 day trip there:rolleyes: :D

A lad that goes to Dam with us every Easter went once years ago, and one of the posse went in to this place, paid the cash, got tied up by by pretty whore, then some bloke came in and buggered him while he was tied up. He wasn't amused, infact positively scarred. Definately no urban legend, tis true.

Dude that is an urban legend cos I've heard the same story. Along with the one where the guy has to rollerskate naked towards a load of naked and oiled up strippers who then move out of the way to reveal the fire exit and the guy ends up on the street

1: buy beer from supermarker behind big city hall typrebuilding (on the Damrak- the street with central station on), it is cheap, strong, and when you have finnished it all you get almost as mutch back for your crate and emptys as you paid !!!

2: go to the museums, they are great- you need something to do in the days other than just smoke !! (things turn a bit weird if you dont !)

3: near the Rijksmuseum there is a small hut on the canal where you can rent a peddle boat for around £2/hour. we took one out for 1 hor and returned it 5-6 hours later and payed no more !! Imagine cruising down the red light district on a peddle boat, pulling up at the side of the canal, tying your boat up and going to a cafe for a spliff !!!

4: before you go and spunk all your money on silly bongs ant 18" square skins, visit the market in the centre--- it is 1/3 the price or the shops.

5: go and see the two american lads who own 'the grey area' (its a coffee shop) they are sound and will let u try before you buy. their purple haze is the best in the dam and they sell in 8ths and 16ths !!!

6: TANDOM !! the only way to get around the dam is by push-bike, and you can rtent a bike from around £5 a weekend, but trust me, a 500bhp s13 with 13" rims would be less fun (and simpler) to drive than a tandem after a few spliffs !!!!!

7: HAVE FUN !!!!!!!

I am, but my missus will be most displeased as it's a break from the endless 200sx messing and rebuilding that i'm always doing so to go away and go to a RR would seriously piss her off, besides I'm planning on just getting wasted and eating Febo, cheers anyway :)
