View Full Version : Well, my mate has finally gone and done it...
After over a year of searching he's finally bought himself the Supra he's been searching for! He bought this one (the git!):
http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.asp?modelexact=1&make=TOYOTA&min_pr=&postcode=LL11+4PQ&source=0&model=SUPRA&max_pr=&variant=&mileage=&miles=1500&photo=1&sort=5&keywords=&agerange=&max_records=200&search.x=48&search.y=4&start=6&distance=166&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200245059291541
The b@stard still hasn't brought it round to my house to show it off. Must try and blag a drive when he does :D :D :D
Apart from the fact that hes got it in the best damned colour that there is for a Supra, he aint all that lucky ;)
You could always rub it in by saying that it only has about 280ish brake, fragile turbos and the worst brakes this side of a land rover, and iirc the vvti makes it more difficult to tune...
But i'd still give one of my kidneys for it...
Bitter? Not me Guv ;)
very very very VERY nice
and I want it

Looks like it's finally gone off the AutoTrader website. Sorry Dave :(
Supra's are my dream cars.
But dont worry 2*****'s are still my catch;)
I will aim one day to get a Supra, and max it up.
In about 4-5 years time I will have about £50,000 to play around with.
So Supra style it is.

What colour was it?
If I had £50k, I'd buy an R34 . . .
Disloyal? Never . . . :D
The Supra he bought is "Royal Sapphire Blue".
He brought it round tonight. It's rather nice. It's also liberally sprinkled with lots of things bearing a HKS badge. There's 3 or 4 gauges (2 mounted in a pillar pod), and under the bonnet there's even more smile inducing things with a HKS badge including a full induction kit, looks like a HKS DV, and a HKS intercooler in there somewhere as well seeing as there's quite a few pipes with HKS on them. All in all a nice bit of kit he has there. Standard zorst is a bit quiet though, he asked my advice, so naturally I told him to get a Blitz Nur Spec R :D He's after some wheels and tyres at the mo' as well, wants to go from standard 17s to 18's. Anybody know what wheels and tyres would suit a Supra? Blitz naturally look the bo11ocks, but he doesn't want to spend that much

The most crucial thing with the wheels and tyres is that you match or exceed the stock wheel/tyre widths. Most 18's are only eight inches wide, useless! You want 9" or 9.5" on the back I think.
You also have to be very careful about clearance over the brakes at the front.
I would suggest that you point him at www.mkivsupra.net/bbs where plenty of people have aftermarket wheels and can tell you what works and what doesn't.

I think you'll find 10 inch width with 18 inch rims are best on the back
