Hello.

After six months of constant pressure from my girlfriend we finally went too a dealer to try out a s14a...

Have to admit I've allways loved the car, but just havent had the time or energy to switch cars. Kinda lazy i guess..

Eitherway, we both loved the car so much. A great drive and good allround quality...

I ended up buying a green 97'. Love the colour and the car were taken good care of.

And just now when i came home from work, my gf's audi was gone and in it's parkingspace stood a 98' black s14a...

So guess this is hello from both of us.. :sxoc:

Agree that green is fastest...

and apparantly, a black car makes you look sexy and mysterious.

Thats Rikke's excuse for buying a black over a red one :smitten:

Anyways... what price is normal to pay for a s14a in the UK?
Norway is absolutelly f....d up when it comes to taxes and fees, so mine cost me 210.000NOK

Thats about 15,900£ :(

Normal price here? Less than that. Have a look at the for sale section. Actually, maybe it would be best not to. Might make you a little

Welcome  Enjoy sliding in the snow... sooooooo much fun!

Hey do you guys use snow chains - rear wheel drive you see... I know what the weather is like up your end..

Welcome by the way! You might want to check out the RLTC purchase - traction control might be slightly more use to you guys... ;)

Youd pay around £6000 for a similar car in the UK. What sort if import taxes do you have to pay for a car? Couldnt you just buy from Germany, Belgium, Sweden etc?

Bet they have snow tyres - no need for chains! I had snow tyres (not studded) on my car while in the Alps.

Mmm do you reckon they use chains when its really bad though... snow tyres still spin out if I recall - from my fun in switzerland in a 1.4 Subaru Justy (4wd!) wonder what it would be like in a chain wheel driven Two hunD... ;)

Depends. Driven sensibly (on here?????) snow tyres are great. Have seen chains wreck alloys tho. And there is a very slow speed limit with them (about 25-30 mph I think) I was driving on roads covered with about 3 or 4 inches of packed snow/ice and I was fine. Yes it was slowly driven but still faster than the people with chains.

 cheers - I guess with RLTC it would also majorly improve ability to accelerate - safely anyways. RLTC wouldnt help when it comes to trying to stop or go round a corner if your going too fast though... ;)

Why couldn't my girlfriend be like that when I got mine?

She told me it was a waste of money and I was traded down as it was a 1997 from my 1998 corsa. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a203/fitz1979/Emotions/jester.gifhttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a203/fitz1979/Emotions/rofl.gifhttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a203/fitz1979/Emotions/jester.gif

Changed her tune when I got back from the UK and she saw it. Though she still thinks it's a waste of money :(
