engine bay cleaning?

:p thought id give my engine bay a wash but whats the best way to do it should i use gunk and a jet wash? or just do it by hand:rolleyes: :)

By hand is safest.

Get some wd40 and plenty of rags, buy a couple of small wire brushes, some brasso and engine deatiler to spray on at the end so it doesn't get gunked up again.

Autoglym machine cleaner is an excellent degreaser, they also do a spray to make your hoses really black and shiny.
