New Plymouth Meet. 10 Dec (Sunday)

At Route 38, had a phone call today saying that is ok for us to hold meets here. The guy who owns it seems very nice and we will have are own spaces to park. If we get there between 1-2 pm we can get all the cars parked up together in our area. Then go on in and have a drink or some food. Should be good to have meets here as its in the daylight and the drive there and back is nice.

Hope you can all make it as i would like to see everyone turn up so the guy knows that we mean bussiness about this meet up point

i,ll keep the Lyneham inn still going till after this meet then if you all agree that this place is better i'll ring them to say that we won't be going there.

yes the car does run it got through the mot just puttiong some miles on it at the min as needs heavy amount of tuning and want to run the nitrous through but need the miles first :)

Well i would have been in a Stage 1 R32 GTR if my pissing turbo to manifold gasket didnt blow on the way to the deal in Reading today. Was a ridiculously good swop deal too :annoyed: :cry:.

Most depressing 200mile drive home ever, my car has all the performance of a Austin Metro right about now.

Might put a post in this forum to see if anyone local wants to do the gasket for a bit of wedge as although i can do it myself no problem i'm sick of the sight of my car now.

lol, neither of those roads are 'challenging', but without traffic the saltash - trulefoot road is good fast drive :)

The torpoint - truelefoot road is okish and it's only really the last section that is interesting with long sweeping turns.

Edit: does the guy in Bournemouth realise quite how far it is to cornwall?

The road is good, but I think only the last half of it, before that is a little dangerous at speed due to the idiots that like to pull out on you over there. Bare in mind that I used to work on that road (ON the road) so saw it quite a lot :P

well, i think with the nights being so dark now that we should leave the evening meets till the summer and just stick with the daytime meets at the moment.
i think route 38 is a better venue as well, especially as we're in keeping with the theme (kinda)

Seriously though, for the exeter guys, its the same trouble to get to both places, but I've gotta say route 38 had more space than the lyneham and food was good. I agree that we should have the lyneham for the summer and this for the winter :thumbs:
