I was flipping through the channels when I came upon the CSPAN channel and it happened to be on the House of Commons open debates. The views on Iraq, Israel, and America all seemed to be very well thought out, contrary to America's politcal views. This third-person look on the whole mess got me thinking. One particular senior member of the House (Peter was his first name, a conservative from the Louth & Horn-something area) explained that while every British minister has tried to resolve the middle east there has always been American intervention. Although I am American and have patriotic pride for my country, I can't help but agree with his views on this. I can remember that since the Clinton-era there has been a gross American support of Israel. I personally dislike this support because they are just as cruel and greedy as the people we protect them from. Its the fact that the two religions can't co-exist in an area that annoys me... they are both overgreedy and jealous of the holy-land. One can relate the struggle to a complex version of the brother vs. sister fight we almost all went through. One peice of candy (the holyland) and two that want it very badly (Israel and Palestine). We (the US, UK, and our allies) are the parents and the easiest thing that comes to mind is to break up the piece into two equal peices... but then the two children fight over who got the bigger peice. Here is where it fails to be the same... since they fight we would take the candy and send them to their rooms but, we simply cant move Israel and Palestine. Another problem hampering this is obviously America. I honestly have no idea why we support Israel over Palestine. The only thing that comes to mind is that it has been tradition since WWII that we would protect the Jewish populations from persecution and we would allow them their holyland. However alot of the Jewish migration back to the Holyland was AGAINST the UN's (League of Nations) resolution that prevented the Jewish populations from leaving Europe in a mass migration to what would become Israel (which the UN was planning to develop). Overall the whole mess is complex and doesnt have an easy answer... especially when the damn US has to get into everything. We always have to protect the world and be the worlds babysitter and its annoying as hell. Americans piss me off ... they dont give a **** what Congress or Bush or Clinton or whomever does. Its all about me, me, me... they have blinders on and they are just a bunch of mass idiots. Uneducated, blinded by the media and the bull****, and they are too damn lazy to care. No ****ing wonder they are the laughing stock of the world.

Fook you must have been bored to...
A) watch the parliment crap, even we don't watch it, we have a channel dedicated to it, imaginatively called the parliament channel. But we also have Men and Motors which wins hand down every time. :D:D

and B) write all that.

From what I underestand America has ALWAYS supported Israel, but i don't really know the details as to why.

And I would like to know why America gives $16,000,000,000 per year to israel. Thats the equivalent of just over $900 per year to every man, woman and child in the country. Especially as they aren't exactily poor (Average earnings $16,000 per person pa)

Keep in mind 8 billion a year is allocated to arms.

Yeah, arms bought from America. So basically the US gives them money, which then they give to US arms corporations, paying US wages and also providing tax revenue from the workers income tax and tax on the corporations profits. So of the $8bn arms money, The Man gets about $6bn or so back in his pocket!

It is nice for me to see an american seeing the truth.

alot of american`s can see why they are hated in that area.

and you`ve hit the nail on the head.

From the Muslim side it is hard not to see america as the Evil in the world.

Not that i agree with that but us in britain have a shock comming as we will be the next target cos of our goverments blind backing of america.

But hey , they got the biggest guns so it`s a good side to back when the ****e hits the fan.
