Do these fit the std subframe or do they need a separate runner/frame ??? :)

bren

Theyre not FIA approved  I dont believe anyone on here needs FIA seats do they? Is FIA necessary for the D1?

They need a seperate seat frame and runner but we have some under development :)

only D1 regs regarding seats belts are:

4-4. Seat belt
4-4-1. 4 points or better seat belt must be installed.
4-4-2. The width of the seat belt on driver side must be at least 2 inches, and the buckle must be a quick release type in stainless steel material.

bren

The belts are 3" and 6 point if needs be :) I dont think the buckle is stainless but I can get FIA approvoal on the parts at a higher cost so I cant see why stainless would be a stipulation  Ill have to look further into that.

I should be able to sort a deal on seats, harneses and seat mounts :)

Hi there :)

Do the seats come in different sizes and what is the material?

Dave

bren

Just one size and one material, fibreglass :) Theyre big enough to fit my ass in but still slim enough to hold normal sized guys properly.

Will these seats tip forward to get the little one out of the back? Or is he going to have to learn new climbing techniques :)

New techniques

I've been testing last night if this is possible. Hope the NSPCC aren't reading, but using one small infant child and a large supply of maltesers...

Young child, can unbuckle himself, and fling himself over the handbrake console and out of either door fairly satifactory. This can even be acheived in approx 7 seconds when a large supply of Maltesers are at stake.

Getting into the vehicle is initially not too much of a problem, it's the fact that seats need to be stood on by little feet, and this isn't a problem when leaving the car as said little shoes are dry. However, whenever it's wet or dirty, which is often the seats, and thus my backside, would get filthy.

Are there any plans to produce replacement seats that move forward to allow rear sear access ? (you can have the rest fo the Maltesers :) )

Why dont you have a fixed bucket for the driver, and a reclining bucket for the passenger side?

bren

We wont be doing any other type of K Sport seat but can supply a range of recliners from Recaro, Sparco, OMP, Momo, Cobra etc :) I might have a pair of used black Sparco relicners if theyre of interest? Torino 2s, nice seats.

Yes, please let me know if you decide to sell, and how much they would be with subframes etc. I can pay in cash, maltesers, or combination of

Lenagh

Scottie just get the one seat mate for the driver and don't worry about the other. Then you get the benefit and not the earache :) don't get a recliner :p come round and see me if you want to try a bucket to see whats so nice about em from a drivers perspective.

Cheers Dave. I was trying out Karl's bucket recliner at the SXOC NW meet last night. It may be worth getting one, but I'd prefer them to match :ghey: , and I need a recliner for each side as when I put my car away at night there's only access from the drivers side !!

Do you know what you might wanna try then inbetween as its makes a huge difference I found. Get a sabelt harness kit as basically it gives the same effect by pulling you tight to the seat and stopping you flop about. Thats what I did before I fitted the bucket. Overall the bucket makes you feel more connected to the feel of the tho :)
