I have successfully survived my first trackday :D
My mates and I went to Bedford Autodrome on friday for an Autocar/MSV open pit trackday and all i can say is the car was awesome (ignoring the pad build up which made the brakes judder  )
As this was my first trackday i was bricking it, my friends werent really helping either by winding me up when it started raining :(. We were running on the full GT circuit, the day started with the briefing followed by 3 laps in small convoys to get used to the layout and during this period there was a torrential downpour :'(.
The track was closed for the first half an hour and then I had booked in with an instructor. The chap i had in the car was completely insane, I had no idea my car could a) corner and b) actually handle in the wet anything like it does :D
My friend had taken his GT4 along and the ironic outcome of the day was my car was 10times better in the wet :) - his was plough understeering all over the place so he started combatting it with plenty of oversteer (he is blaming the tyres) Whereas the 200 cut through the standing water and was cracking fun.
All the temps were fine, tyre wear was low, even fuel consumption wasnt aweful the only downer was i thought i had managed to warp the discs but after the weekend found out it was only excessive pad build up (which has since be sorted)
When the rain started i really thought i would end up all over the place, most cars seemed to struggle in the wet but im just really chuffed how well the car and the driver managed.
Cant wait to get signed up for another one now :D
