i was talking to a bloke about 10mins ago, he said he used to have a s13, cossie and a reno 21 turbo, he said the only car that was as fast as the s13 was the 21, he said the s13 was faster than his cosworth and faster than his s14 (which he has now), mind you all are factory standard.....

but have any of you have/driven/come against a breakdown 21  sorry i mean renault 21;)

I've never driven a 21 T, but I'd assume that they're a torque steer nightmare.
As std, they have 175hp in a floppy large body.
In a straightline, they're pretty damn quick (I think they were low 7s to 60 and could make 140mph), although I'm not sure they'd be quite as fast as a Cossie. Around corners, probably get stuffed, although bear in mind that Renault are pretty good at making cars that handle well.

They are pretty good, cheap and chearful.

I had a ph2 and a ph1. The ph2 had about 260bhp, the torque steer always made me laugh, as standard they have about 8lb less torque than a cossie, and through the front wheels its plenty of left and right involuntery action.

Also grip is a nightmare, i could spin from first to third without moving anywhere.

Had my first one when i was 17 so i look back fondly on it as i had a lot of great times in it (was my first turbo car ;) havn't looked back to na's since

Renault 21 Quadra Turbo was 4wd. My freind has one from RTOC and just ran a 4.7 0-60 at Trax 2002.

4wd is great for going round corners fast;) the car just grips, my brother's pulsar leaves my poor 200sx in the twisty stuff the barsteward:mad:
