Just spoke to my insurers about changing my main insured car from a Group 18 Nissan 200SX S14 to a Group 9 Primera GT.

Guess what rebate I get? :(

Fcuking £30, bunch of cnuts!

When I recently got a quote for adding a strut brace to my car, the insurance company said that they would not touch it:mad:

But what they did say was that if I wanted to add something to the car that they would not insure, they would have to give me a pro rata refund:D i.e. pay me back what I am really owed with no penalties so that I can go to an insurance co that will insure me.

Worth trying?

The older model the eGT (my previous car) was group 14 - I doubt that the newer model went down to group 9. Most insurance Co's class the S14/a as group 17 (some 18) so it's not a massive difference.

I found the eGT a hoot to drive so you should be able to still enjoy your driving.

I'd watch out for house prices in the SE - many 'experts' are forcasting price falls next year - don't get burnt with negative equity.
