Knowing when to leave it ! ?

Ever since I got this fecking car I am noticing a transformation in my driving. Its definitley more aggressive that before.

Not in the sense that I am attacking or cutting up other road users.

No instead this manifests itself as either.

1) You shall not pass inferior type car trying to muscle me out the way.

2) I shall pass YOU inferior car for muscling me out the way.

Example -

People carrier today the ones that live in the outside lane at 110mph. (prolly coz it takes that long to get there they stay at that speed over the entire journey).

No matter how much distance I tried to put between us whilst trying to keep at reasonable speed it would still close the gap.

This is where the problems start.

In my old car I would have - pulled over.

Now with the s14 I do this

Len in car - "hahahahhahahaha a BUS what a disgrace to the road hahahahaha (evil eyez and horns)"

Bus gets closer....

Len in car - "come closer BUS BOY !!!"

Bus gets closer still

Len in car - "WAIT FOR IT WHITES OF THE EYEZ !"

Bus gets in pushing range (get out the way closeness).

Len in car - "4th gear Mr Zulu engage warp speed"

Bus dissapears into distance in RVM.

Its gonna get me a ticket tho at this rate.

So when do YOU LOT leave it and pull out of the way ?

My s13 seems to attract dick-heads in repmobiles that wont move over for you, but if you do eventually get infront they'll tailgate you constantly.. So I tend to drive at some sensible speed like 70-80 and eventually they try to overtake and then its BYE-BYE Mr Rep-Man! heeheehee this usually gets an enraged flashing of the lights as they pull back in behind you muhahahhaha

I do need to calm down actually.. i dont drive like a tw4t or anything, but i do become "Mr Angry" quite often... Thing is, I do a lot of driving for work, and so my brain has sorta got used to getting really wound-up behind the wheel... Infact, I probably AM "rep-man" :( :rolleyes:

try this... upgrade your ICE then treat your car like a nightclub's chillout room... altho dont smoke anything ;) that's how i usually treat traffic... its a chance to chill and enjoy the ... choons

btw if a to55er cuts you up or something no need to retaliate.. sooner or later he'll do it to someone who really gives a toss and he'll get his just desserts.

you're right... classical music does chill you out, assuming its not something like Ride Of The Valkyries! You could try Magic FM in the London area, but I suspect that's what Stig on Top Gear listens to, so that's proven not to work then!

I find people tend to leave me well alone in the 200. If i dare venture out in the Micra though, its asif i have a target painted on me. People will do ANYTHING to get past me. Its like being in a scrum, theres always some pleb in any kind of car.. trying to climb over the back of the little thing. :(

I just tend to turn the tunes up and ignore most people anyway. Im far too happy in my bizarre little world to react to people trying to gain an extra 8 feet in a traffic jam. :) Im with shadow on this one

well, I used to have a Volvo 480 and people didn't mess with that, then I had a BMW 318 and people didn't mess with that now I've got an S14 and people just move out of the way...... ermmm, sorry, obviously missing the point here I'll get another b33r
