I have a problem.

I have ordered a DVD from the states and they playback in NTSC form, where as the UK spec is Pal.

can I change the options:confused:

I can watch the film, but it is in b/w and audio is fine, which I suspect that my TV supports Pal60.

As the TV is picking up the signal, surely there is a way to change the frequency on the Playstation to NTSC (which I think is 3.58MHZ - carrier frequency)

Watching all the films in b/w is really annoying me:mad:
I dont really want to fork out £90+ quid of an adapter, so I was wondering whether there was some kinda disk or secret menu you can access on the playstation to enable this feature.

any one with any ideas please reply :)

Cheers

Tim

If i remember correctly i had an NTSC version of Tekken on the first Playstation. I was in black and white when playing it through scart lead (NTSC compatable or something like that). Then when i upgraded my TV it played it back in colour.

At least i think that's what happened! :D

Yeah, you brought a TV that was NTSC compatable,

I need to find an alternative way, coz I cant afford to buy a new tv.

I ordered a DVD remote from PLAY.com, it came with a scart lead, memory card and disc which allows you to play any region DVD's, regions 1 through to 7. £15 inc delivery. I think it is called the RegionX package.

Also your tv might have 2 scart sockets, one is NTSC compatable, one is not. My Sony tv is like that anyway.
