Just got back from this and i have to say that the standard of so called drifting was to be honest shit! apart from the guy in the red and the guy in blue s13's, the skylines were terrible, and won't even comment on the guy in the corolla who destroyed RUSS SWIFT's sound equipment. I hope i'm not upsetting anyone, as i'm no DK but i could have looked good out there today, If some prick hadn't driven over my car that is.

that would be mitch and bruno in the 13's  - they is good

bruno has been trying to get out of the pod for the past 3 hours and is hardly moving, lots of people leaving at the same time!!

Yeah Simon, it took 3 hours 20 minutes to get from the drift area to the gate, and over 5 hours in all to get to Bicester, which is normally an hour and a quarter journey. Kids went to sleep and woke up in the car, and asked if we were "nearly there yet", and we hadn't moved an inch.

I can't really comment on the other drifters as I didn't watch them much, but I'm sorry you felt that way. There's quite a bit of pressure on when you're on in front of so many people, as you'll find if you give it a go. Not sure what you meant about someone driving over your car, but if you seriously think you can do a decent job on the demos, get in touch with Lex and give it a go. For me, it was an opportunity to get some drift practice in (need as much as I can get) and also nice to show the draggers a bit of drifting. Everyone I spoke to said they enjoyed it, and yours is the first negative feedback I've heard.

The guy in the Corolla did hit the low barrier, but it was hardly his fault, as a steering arm snapped as he was going round and he had no way of controlling the car.

Thanks for your comments about the blue S13 though, it's nice to be appreciated (and us Mitch's have to stick together:D)

More confidence??? Seriously? (you ;)'d)I can't agree with you there, as he was twinning with me in that area, and we got a bit close at times:eek:

I'm the first to admit we're not fantastic or anything, but we enjoyed the day, and that's what it's all about:thumbs:

Doc-You still going to the Bovvy day?

Damn straight mate - Im looking forward to it. Only really used the drift car in anger like twice, and recent roundabout excursions prove that I need the practice, so roll on whenever it is :D :D

Hi ppl
Just like to have my say- I've seen the driftgarage crew, mitch and bruno i believe, at flame and thunder and bovy 19th and thought they were both great, not sayin that there drifting was flawless but very few are and the main thing is that they were out there doing it and more importantly enjoying it! I went out in my std red s14 at flame n thunder for an hour at the end and thoroughly enjoyed it although my driftin wasnt special. Also had great fun at bovy, cheers lads, hopefully see you there on new years eve
