Just phoned up various companies for quotes.

My details: 28yo married male, living in Hampshire. 3 yrs NCB, 1 accident last month resulted in write off.

Based on a 1997 sx.

Adrian Flux - £1400
Tesco's - £714 excess £375
Greenlight - £840 excess £350
Norwich Union - £1277 £120 excess

Quite surprised as i was paying £800 to Admiral with 5yrs NCB last year.

I bet if i did Tescos's quote over the internet it would be more than 1K.
