Right I'll start the ball rolling with....
When stealing a car the bloke you throw out then replies with..

I am constantly in awe of this game and how I've laughed and laughed this weekend :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'm still making my way throught GTA3 on the PC. Just got onto the last island, and tried to fly the dodo!
Wish the bloody thing had autopoilot, bloody impossible to fly!!
I can fly it.
But i can't complete the shoot the plane down from the boat mission.
Sh*t, I forgot that it was out his weekend:mad: I've not had a chance to go shopping for weeks:eek: .
I managed to finish all the main missions on GTA3 but not the mini-missions. (And no cheats!!!)

It's a top game:D :D :D They seem to have added the right amount of special features, but I had forgotten how frustrating some of the missions can get:mad:
The music is great, took me back to my yoof.
I like the addition of the 'hand tools' with the samuri sword being my particular favourite!
Some of the moves you can do to steal the motorbikes are class, have not quite go the hang of popping wheelies yet - been over the handelbars a few times trying!

Not played it that much, but my fave moment has been when you take a harley into the shopping mall with the handle bars in one hand and an uzi in the other. Shooting people a'la Arnie in T2 :cool:

It's possible to fly the dodo round the city all day long... My mate can do it. He says you have to let go of the accel button and fly it like a glider. gaining height slowly then swooping down to get speed. You have to be REALLY careful with the steering tho coz it flips over really easy... but i bet you knew that bit ;)
swiping a police helicopter and flying over the city is blinding the bf injector is a vw beach buggy kind of thing its in vice city as well
Don't forget you get paid for great stunts although you have to wheelie for what seems like a year:( Best bike for wheelies is the scrambler... best for stoppies is the PCJ 600 :D:D:D:D:D
Oh and the helicopter is just ace...:D:D:D:D

The motorbikes are great, PLG 600 is my FAV.
I have two copies of Vice City if anyone wants one.
I ordered it from an internet shop but it did not come on Fri/Sat so I went and got it from Woolworths to play over the weekend.
The other copy turned up today! Should have been patient!

Has anybody bought the malibu club yet? Does that become your main hideout once you have bought it?
Mate at work told me you can buy Flats (with or without garages) to be your hideout.
I have yet to find find them!

Anyway, at least we have games like UT2003 and such to please us, long before they get to the consoles! They'll just spend 6 months making the graphics that much better as the poor little consoles can't handle more than 16 colours and 5 polygons without catching fire :p

Just to the right of the save point in front of the three garages (at the condo), there is a door, walk into it and you will find yourself on the roof... on the helipad you will find the helicopter yay :D:D:D:D:D

My eyes hurt, my thumbs hurt, I've been playing for thirty hours, and I'm on . . . . 12% completed!
Favourite bit is the Spanish DJ bloke on Emotion 98.3 - "And for the strong silent type, a medallion the size of a hubcap that says more about you than words ever could" :D
The destruction derby is pretty cool as well, and they pay you for it!
Cruising along the beach on a Harley with "Mister Mister" playing as the sun set made me feel quite emotional - oy maybe I was just faint after forgetting to eat for fourteen hours!

Please Graham! tell me how you did: I'm stuck there. I only managed to get 6 stars, and, of course, being killed...
Back to the original subject, what I like are surprises:
I stole a car (me?!!), and the passenger was a granny: she didn't have time to get out of the car, so, she was sitting in the car, me driving, and her shouting desperately! LOL !!!
I like the bikes bit too: the sensations in first person view, full power, when you KNOW you'll hit something and hurt yourself... :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :D :D :D

How do you actually buy a business? Ive got the Hyman Condo along with its helicopter (anyone know what determines whether it is there or not?) but I cant buy the docks or the strip bar etc. Just says try again later! I heard the docks is a good one to buy as it always has a getaway boat for you. Someone also told me its one of the cheapest meaning you can afford it early on then it makes you enough money to buy bigger businesses like the Malibu club.
Any ideas anyone?

If you buy the Pole Position you have to get around $600 worth of dancing befroe it earns money.....it was funny for about ten seconds.

To buy a business you have to get Diaz's mansion then complete the Mall mission.
The Pole position is $30 000 and the malibu clube is $120 000

Dont need to cause riots to get a tank, there is one on the second island somewhere on the coast nr the last island, not exactly sure, but their is a military base, inside is a tank, just jump in it, also for speedy results, turn the cannon around so its firing behind you, you get going quite quickly.:)

I think you have to have completed the final mission before the tank is unlocked in GTA3 . . . .
To get the tank without causing a riot you have to finish the game.
The tank can then be found it the one arm blokes military compound next to the truck:D

Best bit and most unexpected so far was when i stole a 4x4 got three stars for running cops over and the police came out with stingers and burst all my tires.
landed the helicopter inside the film studio to have a look around and had to have a chuckle at the fake moon landing set.
just done aunt paulies last mission and got busted trying get to a save point,now ive lost all my fave weapons grrrrrrrrrr
Going into the night club and watching the village people style stage dancers is a must see moment in this game. There's a fat man in leathers dancing in the centre like.... well you just have to see it to understand how funny it is :eek: :D

Perhaps you could help me out :D , after doing one of the missions my star rating went up to 5. Ever since when I get as little as two stars there's specials etc all over me! Does this calm down after time?
Should I - 1) Deal with it, you big girls blouse

2) Load up a save from before the "five star" mission and try to do it with less of a star rating.

If your talking about the Mitch mission where you have to cause chaos then its not really a problem.
Make sure you are very close to your condo in Downtown then leg it there with 5 stars. Grab the star outside to drop your wanted level to 4 then save. The star will have regenerated so grab again and save. get down to two, then head for the roof, a change of clothes and anonnimity:D:D:D:D Feds will eventually give up and leave you alone:D
Anyone got the MINIGUN yet???? Its over near the junkyard although I think you'll need a helicopter to get to it:D:D:D:D:D
I totally love this game its got to be the best one I've ever played (IMHO) Even though I've finished the story part there is still soooo much to do:D
I have finished all the main missions (I think) and I am the missions where you buy property and do the missions there. currently I have brought the Car showroom and the studio's. The mission where you have to fly a plane around the city to advertise your film I have found to be quite difficult.
Are there any people who can help out. I normally go for the furthest checkpoint anyway and work my way back.
Its a bloody mission. dum dum.

Tim, thats what I did...
Just take your time mate you have plenty of fuel to complete it.
Trick is to not turn too sharply, otherwise it loses height too quickly.
If you think that mission is hard wait till you get to the one after that which involves jumping from building to building with a bike:eek: :rolleyes:

I have now done all the studio missions. I have purchased all the buildings except for the Malibu Club and the other one (costs $140,000 I think), so I have a few missions to do now.
once you have done all of the little missions, is the game completed? or are there any hidden ones.
Have you brougth the shack in Little Haiti?
its up the stairs, valuable place for saving for all GTA Vice City gamers out there. only costs $1,000 aswell:)

There is another shack opposite Mitch's place in Downtown, again up the stairs.
You have finished the game when you kill Sonny. If you manage the Malibu missions then it will unlock Phil's Place which then turns into a place to buy serious hardware:D:D:D:D

Shadow, best way is just to be persistant. Several of the missions I found to be almost impossible at first then find that after several attempts:rolleyes: Ok ok, Loads of attempts you get closer and closer to the goal. Finally you succeed and WOW:D

Best way to do it (I got 74:D ) Concentrate on the first two levels where you shoot the moving yellow targets, try to wait till the three are in line that way you'll always hit something. Try to get the back one more as its worth 3 points, middle one 2, nearest one 1. On the second stage get used to rotating the gunfire around maybe 4 windows rather than all 6. That way by the time you get to the third stage you really won't have to hit much to pass:D
(Totally agree with you about the third bit being nie on impossible, I think I only hit about 6 targets :( )

I've been working 14hr days this week and haven't had a chance to futher the GTA3 cause for ages.
A quick hour tonight then off to bed for another week of 14hr days (The good news is that I've got 2-3hr days as of next Wednesday:D :D :D right up to the weekend - which I've got off too!!!)

I discovered something pretty cool the other day. After you've bought the malibu club, you can charge around on the dancefloor with the chainsaw and the dancers are so caught up in the funky groove that they won't try and run away! Also, I never noticed this but blood splashes on to the "camera" when you're running amok. V. cool :D It's also fun trying to pop the "village peoples" heads!
Is it possible to get the Apache helicopter without completing the game or getting all the hidden packages? (OR CHEATING!) I've checked out the army base a few times and theres a helipad there but no chopper!

Done that mission now and have completed the Malibu club, now I have the boat house, taxi, Cherry place and few others to do, lots of stuff left (47% complete tho:D ).
Just one more thing if you would. How the hell do you find all the cars in the car showroom place. I have found 3, but I cannot find the rest ANYWHERE:confused:

I managed to find all of the cars between the workshop and downtown, although I think I had to pop to the other island for one of the beasties:rolleyes:
Took me bloody ages as well as one of the sets has 6 cars that all look the same, so I spent most of my time getting out of one car and into another. Also, try hanging about just outside the showroom as quite a lot of cars just seem to spin past just when you need them:D

The gunship won't appear on the helipad. Past the helipad, between two tents (after the baracks) So about as far as you can get from the main gate. The gunship is parked there. However make sure you have the police uniform on or the soldiers will kill you on sight:(
Managed to get to level 16 of "BROWN THUNDER" WTF:eek: :eek: :eek:
Grab a bike from outside. then carry on around the corner towards your Downtown condo. Then after you pass the next left there is a set of stairs. Get on this platform and from there they shouldn't be able to get you:D
On your way there make sure you kill a few people so that the police are interested in you. Rocket launcher very useful for taking out the odd chopper:D
You'll need to get back to the condo once you succeed as your wanted level doesn't go down:( But then you could always nick a tank:D:D:D:D

After you've got a tank, it's very easy: just keep shooting while driving :D : 30 secs later, the hellmeter explodes...
You can also take an helicopter, accept the mission, land your helicopter on the top of the bike club, and SHOOT ROCKETS AT ETHERYTING!!!:D :D :D :D

You can also just shoot one of the bikes outside the bike shop where you start the mission. If you shoot it with the machine gun and keep shooting it even after it has blown up the hellmeter goes full :confused: You don't have to kill anyone or anything! With only 3 stars obtained its easy to escape as well ;)
Right I have tried to find the MAD helicopter and I cant find it anywhere!!!
I have gone into the army base several time (with cops uniform) and their is a helipad buts nothings there.
Please help, as I want to create havoc and chaos from the sky instead of the road.

Looks a bit like a dodge challenger from the side.
You've probably noticed this, but . . . if you're in a Perenial or a Stallion or a whatever, the roads will be full of perenials, or Stallions or whatever you're driving, and you won't see another car for ages!
Try and avoid changing cars for a while until you see something different to what you've been seeing for ages, try all the different areas of the city, try running around on foot for a few minutes to get a different selection of cars on the road, etc etc etc.
I'm on the final list, anyone know where I can find a Mr Whippy ice cream van??? The Baggage Handler becomes a lot more entertaining to drive if you shoot all it's tyres out as well btw :)
Oh, and if you're having trouble with the street racing, you can take out two of the computer ars with the rocket launcher before they get going to make life easier :)

You have to buy the Cherry place.
If you look at map, it on the right islands nr the middle bridge.
It should be parked at the entrance.
