Viewing .jpg ???

One of me mates got annoyed today and deleted a load of stuff from his pc :eek:

I'm slowly restoring all his pics for him by hosting them on image station so he can download them, but he can't view them. He right clicks on the pics in imagestation which I think defaults to jpg, then saves them on the pc, but when he tries to view them his pc says it cant determine the type of file.

He's running Windows XP using aol as isp - has he deleted some vital system file, or is it just something I can email to him??

(I use Windows ME btw)

imagestation shows the files as .jpg.orig. Windows will see the .orig bit and go "what the hell???" so just tell him to remove the .orig bit off the end :)

Doesn't AOL default to saving as ".art" files?
