OK, my PC has the Magistr.B virus
I can't find it on Symantec, which lists almost every other varient - I thought .B was dead by now??????
Bloody thing, bet its really playing my system around - good job I've got AVG!!!
Any advice for a specific removal?

Mcafee seem to think they can remove it ....

Best just get latest DATs and give it a go.

If you are running XP / ME then you MUST disable system restore first.

Cheers, I ahve the latest updates and it claims that it has gone... just don't know what havoc, if any, it wreaked in the meantime...

If you check that link, it will tell you what it does.

It sends files infected with itself from your mailbox to everyone in your address book.

I received 3 emails yesterday, all 3 were virus' and nothing else!!
