Nope!
Me thinking the best idea was to hide the car round the back of the village hall it was hidden from site!!
Probably safer to leave it in the road exposed!
Cant believe it, I can see the git now chuckling at 'how he keyed a car when he was drunk'
What posesses these people, they dont even know me!!!
down to jealousy i think...
if they had had two brain cells instead of just the one, they would have also tried the boot handle, as I left it open! They coulda walked off with my 2 6x9's, Amp and head unit!!!
Oh, not to mention the PC that was on the back seat!!!
One of my cars got keyed once and the side that was done was facing a cctv camera so I phoned the Police
Needless to say they didn't giva a fuk
I know how you feel mate:mad:
Where's the fun in that? What IS the point?

I've only had it done to one of my cars, but it just so happened it was a crappy runabout. Even at that I was raging
I can't image how mad I'd be if it was my 200!
I feel for you mate :(
 ive had a few shopping trolleys stuck to my car in the past but never had anyone scratch me moter the *******s!
hope you get it sorted mate..

it's all about respect. or lack of it. which comes from a bad upbringing. my parents taught me to respect other people's property so when I see a car i am jealous of I think "ooo" and ponder what it would be like to own, and maybe congratulate the driver on working hard to earn the money to own that car.
bad parents let their kids do what they want and so when their children see something and are jealous they kick it, scratch it or whatever.
so... they should make it harder to have children. then only parents who know how to bring up upstanding, respectful citizens can spawn.
of course, having tony blair leading the way with his 3847384738 pisshead children doesn't really set a good example. /soapbox
Had someone do that to my Volvo a few weeks ago so I feel for you m8 :(
If ever I catch anyone doing that, be it to my car or anyone elses, they'll get a spot of corrective thereapy from my boot or the 7 cell maglite I carry around with me (in case of a breakdown Ociffer)
I'd be going effin nuts if it happened to me http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid38/p0013946410220f93386d679b74b1c45a/fd1435b4.gif The little g!ts keep nicking shiny valve caps from my mates cars and that's bad enough
My mates Audi got keyed outside his house. To add insult to injury they also sprayed black paint over the key marks. We polished the black paint off but as the car is red he now has nice black lines all down the sides as we couldn't get it out of the scratches. They did it to a neighbours Frontera last week too.
I can see the point in doing it to a Roller, or a BMW (or is that just me?).
Not that I think it's a good thing, but I can see the point....
...but a 106? WTF? Why? I just don't get it... is that as exciting as life gets for these inadequates? :(
I suppose it's just another sad example of the "de-politicisation" of the youth of today.....
Eeeehh, when I were a lad, etc.

either way, we work hard, we earn the cash, get our fingers out our arse and do something about what we dont like about a car, modify it and so on, then some ****** gets a kick out of ruining it all, be it pushings stones into an exhaust to make the muffler rattle, or do what they did with the bodykitted 106, it all comes out of jealousy. They cant have it so they wreck it for those who have made an effort.
It IS bad parenting, it IS lack of respect, it IS very sad that people have nothing better to do than ruine our pride and joys - what losers.
And yet we still allow immigrants into this country?!!

Sorry to hear that Pete. I honestly don't know how their immature little minds work. It makes it worse that the Police just don't seem to care. These little scrotes start off doing stuff like this, never get caught and move on to bigger things.
Hope you get it sorted.

quit yer whingeing. the important thing is that the police dont waste their time on petty crime like damaging our property. what is really important is that they stop people doing 31mph in a 30 zone!!!

Funny you should say that because I came through a mobile speed camera in Mansfield today doing 32mph! I wouldn't put it past them to send me a NIP 'cos they're really clamping down on speeders here in Notts. There's around 80 cameras going up shortly around the county.

grr fecking annoying that. and i bet you were driving well within a speed that was suitable for the conditions. not that it matters these days
also I hate it when they use the term "speeding". Like that advert "I bet you someone just cut you up... no how about I bet you're speeding"... surely they mean "driving too fast for the conditions"...
ah well, lets all bend over for the MPs again.

Not having a go at you Billy but why damage someone elses property, be it a Micra, Roller, BMW whatever? If you're jealous of someone in a Roller get a job that pays better so you can afford one. If a w@nker in a BMW cuts you up, clobber him, not his car.
I just can't understand why anyone feels the need to vandalise property and think that anyone caught should have their hands chopped off (or is it just me?)

I doubt it was the work of immigrants. The point is that there is a major sense of dis-satisfaction...
Want to go exploring? There's nowhere left that is brand new.
Want to do drugs? Everything has been done...
There is nothing fresh and new and nothing left to rebel against really... Kids are bored... This is not an excuse, but a possible reason...
Plus the rich-poor gaps are widening. Basically, I want a revolution to get away from this shi!ty state and into somewhere where everyone has a place in this society.

So their parents ought to keep them in line, know where their kids are at night and take on responsibility for their actions.
To say that there is a rich/poor gap is true but it is an insult to the vast majority of people who can't afford nice cars and would never dream to damage someone elses property to say that that is why it is done. It's done out of sheer nastyness, that's all.
(There will now be a distant thudding sound as JB falls off his high horse)

If that is how it reads, I apologise - hopefully you all know me well enough to realise that is NOT where I'm coming from.
THe point about the gap is that in certain individuals, it is a huge point of resentment.
And parents... yes, they should deal with their kids. Many just don't seem to care though... its the "have a baby and get a council house" generation coming home to roost....

true, there just isnt any deterent these days. what happens IF (thats a big if ;)) they get caught? basiclay nothing. and thats the way it stays untill they get 100's of convictions and get in the papers.
After all Nature uses pain as a deterant to make people/animals learn not to do certain things. dont stick your hand in the fire it hurts, dont roll about on broken glass because it will hurt, gettin my drift? dont touch my car because it will fookin hurt;)

Yeah, sorry not having a pop, just mega stressed at work and working myself up to having to sack someone this afternoon (which is never a nice thing to do no matter how awful they are).
It's pointless people resenting the incomem gap. It should serve as an incentive to do better and must never be seen by society as an excuse (though the way our society is going it soon will be). Your point about parents is spot on. After all why take any responsibility for your actions if the state will come along and pick up the bill in the end
I'm toying with the idea of applying to become a magistrate in the hope that I could try to bring a little common sense, even if it's only in a very small way.
J hang em high B
I was going to post about how I completely agree about the lack of parental guidance some kids are getting and what they do for kicks as a result but, well, I just can't be ars*d.
I've had some grief with local yobs recently (not least of which was trick or treating my Dad and then coming back threatening him if he didn't give them more an hour later, their parting line was 'You've got to go to sleep some time mister' Little F*CKERS:mad:   )
I'm sooooooo disenchanted with this place at the moment (the U.K. as aposed to sunny B'mouth) people get away with so much and then expect to live for free on the joys of our social system (And that's not a sweeping statement but an observation on SOME of the elements within said system)
So before I get going I'll leave it at that. EMBARRESED(sic) to be British:(
Alg;)
Bottom line is mate, yeah it pisses you off, but your the guy with the cool car.
No matter how many times they key it, it still ain't theres so they are still left with **** all, no respect and permanently pissed off with the world around them.
I know it ain't much consolation, but you will get over it and laugh at the sad f***** who's only ride is his mother:eek:

Amen to that, mate. I really want to get out of this country and would gladly give up my british citizenship.
Pugpete, feel for you. As John Travolta said in Pulp Fiction "They should just execute them, no judge, no jury...".
I have caught someone slashing my tyres when i had a beemer, i wasn't pleased. Bar5tard didn't even apologise, although having a broken jaw kind of impeded his speech somewhat.
Earlier in the thread, someone mentioned that they had cctv footage of someone vandilising their car but the police weren't intersted. I find that quite disturbing, i appriciate the police can't investigate everyting but that is out of order. The message that it puts across to society has horendus undertones.

*laughs* nearest that scrote probably got to knowing what justice was about.
by the way those new age methods of treating crims doesnt work... for instance, sending criminals on free holidays to make them a better person... one tried to burgle my parents' hotel room when we were holidaying in tenerife! maybe the good old islamic/bible style punishments should be brought back... cos its hard to steal when both your hands have been cut off.
i know how you feel m8 had mine done a couple of weeks ago, scratches on every single body panel and even the roof and they also tried to rip me spoiler off as well, jealous fooking tw4ts
and what a spoiler!! http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid38/pd86692a2d2848ef131e77de35a7240ac/fd143564.gif :D ;)
I think the Arab states have got it right:
Steal once---> Lose a hand
Steal twice--> Lose your life
Or something like that. The whole idea of punishment is to act as a deterrent not an incentive for a free f**king holiday:mad:
Still at least I can still do 60mph+ on B-roads:D (until they change the speed limits to 40mph:mad:  )

Don't y'all be thinking I condone this sort of thing in any way at all, but there is a long tradition of making a social point by defacing such public displays of wealth or status. A Rolls-Royce was the perfect example and a prime target for such an act, simply because you knew why a person drove one. Jags, Bentleys etc, were exempt (unless you were of the communist persuasion) though Porches, BMWs and any other "Yuppy-mobile" were fair game in the eighties, again due to the ostentatious exhibitionism involved.
'Course, none of it makes sense any more, (with the exeption of R-R, and about 90% of Beemers :p) as all kinds of people drive all kinds of cars now.....
I must reiterate, I don't agree with any of it personally, but I won't tar every vandal with the same brush.
