Right guys I have phoned loads of places for a quote, even tryed green light as a club member but got quoted £750 odd quid, best I could find is Tesco at £610 fully comp.
I am 25, but 26 in a few weeks
have 3 years NCB
Owned high performance cars before
Have a 92J 200sx totaly std
Live in the north east
think that is about it
Does £610 fully comp sound like a good deal, all the other insurers say that is unbeatable how much do you think I should pay?? looking at my details.
cheers
imran
Sounds about right I suppose, I'm paying £375 and I'm 32 with full no claims living in the midlands. That's with Norwich Union Direct. Incidentally Tesco quoted me £1100:eek:
I'm with tesco too.
26 (At time of starting insurance) now 27. 5 Years NCB. Third part F&T. £533.40.
Best i could get. Your getting it cheaper than me (Somehow?!?!?! ), Maybe it's cos i've got an S14? I didn't check it against a S13.
I'd say you had a reasoble quote. :)

well so far so good, I will take out this policy with tesco today or tommorow then. The S13 is prolly cheaper to insure than the S14?? anyways can't wait to get it insured and go for a drive.

Would've gone with Tesco if my broker hadn't matched their quote. Know a few folkes with them who've been very pleased.
Tesco's are good if your car is standard.

cav 130 sri (well modified engine) soon to have a 200 sx s13, and no i don't like BLOODY NOVA'S
Why do people only get TPFT on their 2*****.
I am 22years of age and have 1 y no claims.
I got quoted from Tesco's £1,480 FC.
I wouldnt dream of insuring the 200 TPFT.
Why people. why!!
The reason i insure my 200 TPFT is coz insurance companies are about as helpful as a chocolate teapot, if it was legal to have no insurance i would. Had my Orion covered FC, and it got nicked, they couldnt offer me a courteosy car till it was found and wouldnt pay out until a month had passed, so i'm paying my insurance for what exactly !!!!!!!!!!!! when they did find it (all burnt out, surprise surprise) i got bugger all money out of them (well nearly) lost 3 years NCB and it goes down as the same as a non fault accident ??????? Result - was paying 400 FC on the orion (1.6i) replaced it with a 400 quid Sapp 2.0 GLS and get walloped 800 quid TPFT.
So the least money the thieveing B*****DS get out of me the better
OK Rant over, sorry guys...............
Oh yer, cheapest i found was legal and general 600 TPFT

It is legal to have no insurance if you deposit £10,000 with the clark of the court to cover any misshaps
EDIT: I got that wrong - it's actually £500,000 and the Accountant General of the Supreme Court

wow, looking at them prices my £610 fully comp looks like a bargain, apparently Tesco are trying to get as many people to insure with them as humanly possible.
To do this, they are undercutting everyone in the insurance industry, even HIC can't match them.
My bro got quoted £4100 for his highly tuned GTi-R after days of searching he went to Tesco and got if for £1900 that is for a 27 year old IT professional, now 28 and married he pays £1000 with a whopping £1000 excess:eek:

try bell direct... just renewed for £390 which is half what others were quoting.
what really annoys me is those bloody adverts. "YOU COULD SAVE £69"... but are more likely to be given a quote £500 more. Or that More Than. No Claims Discount for life, but we reserve the right to fvck you up the ar5e whenever we want. Oh and will charge double your premium.

phone sainsburys, tell em your quote from tesco and they will beat it, i saved another 95 quid, they had an ad in the supermarket saying that they were up to 35% cheaper than tescos, so its well worth a try, u cant do it online though only through a free fone number and i cant remember what it was but u will find the ad on line

Sorry, I've got that beat - £375;)
I'm over 30, 8 yrs NCD with Tescos FC £409
I've got no mods on the car otherwise it might be different story.
The Greenlight deal organised through the club might not be the absolute cheapest but it does have the advantages:
i) they are mod friendly
ii) there is track day cover (I understand) which along could be £50+ a shot <I wait for arry to correct me>

Sainsburys won't insure me cos I have a Turbocharged car:( I actually got refused a quote!! can't believe it. Looks like I am gonna go with Norwhich Union then. Anybody else I should try as a last ditch attempt?
