Got a CAS unit spare?

Anyone local got a Cam Angle Sensor unit for an S13 going spare they can donate or sell to me? In desperate need of one now to get my banger going again. Recently changed the timing belt on her, but apparently failed to noticed one of the locating pins / dowels for the top-most cam cover had fallen out, and it was the one that lives under the cam which the CAS mates with. So the cam cover wasn't "exactly" lined up with the hole in the cam shaft, putting pressure on the shaft of the CAS unit... Broke three of the f**kers now before finding out the exact cause :annoyed:

The 1st one I just thought it was it's time to go, and the second one given to me I knew was already dodgy as it had a bent shaft, but when the third one went, which was actually lent to me, so now I need to replace that too (Cheers Chris, and again I'm sorry fella, I will get you another one tho ;) ) I figured there must be sommat up as there was no way that was normal... So, took it apart and noticed the aforementioned locating pin which has gone on holiday. Got another pin tho, courtesy of Slider91. So, I'm just needing another CAS unit now, and hopefully thats the end of my S13 woes, at least for a little while anyway :smash:

there is one in my garage that has worn splines, you have that to put in and check it's not going to snap another decent one to get you going :)

Sounds cool. How "worn" are these splines exactly tho? I take it it's best not to leave this one in there then?

I would get another one but this one will do to get you going if you really need the car. I'm not seeing madda tonight (fecking leaky injector seal) but will be tomorrwo evening :)

Yes mate, not a problem. Can you get down between 7:00 and 8:00 as Buffy should be over at the same time and we can annoy my neighbours and play with my car a bit ;)
