import alt on my car

ok can some one tell me why i got an import altinator on my car. chassis number is of gb origin aint got round to cheking the engine numbers yet,but any ideas !!

yes could be.ok so is there a different number for the jap engine number to the british,as in the frame number is different from jap to british ??
