View Full Version : Memento
Just watched the full thing at last after having seen the beginning 3 times already but not more than an hour of it.
Funky ending!
Absolutely mindblowing isn't it! I once tok a girl to see it. She came out of the cinema saying how well done it was, and how intelligently thought out it was, and then promptly rented out the video on the sly so her brighter mate could explain it to her... :)
Is it the film with the bloke who loses his memory and has to photograph everything to remind himself?
If so I've been told about it but heard it was cr*p so never bothered to go and see it.
I'll have to wait and see the result of the poll!!!
Alg;) (Might even go out and rent it if the results are favourable!)

Is not crap - its fantastic. It really messes with your head, especially if you watch it normally and then in the right order (extra on the DVD).
Oh yeah, if you get the region 1 disc with all the fancy extras on, be prepared to get frustrated trying to find the extras
The packaging is the best I've seen for a DVD tho.

its one of the greatest films of the last 10 years, real quality. but very hard work to watch so not exactly a friday night in with the missus and popcorn type film! so i can appreciate why some say its crap, its just they havent given it a chance or havent got the patience to see it through.
Yep, great film, i think we spent longer trying to work it out afterwards then we did watching the thing.
Try watching it backwards
Excellent film.
Great to watch, and the DVD version also has the film sequences in the correct order
Fair enough,
I'll pop down to HMV on the morow and pick it up. I've been after something new for a while now, so on your advice I'll get it:D

Anyone who says that, basically didn't get the film  - it does require a certain level of intellect to get around it at all... ;)
"hmmm im chasing this guy......... er, no - hes chasing me!!!" :D
quality film if you can bear through the first 20mins or so and roll with it. Id recommend it
Bought it today and due to watch it in about 30mins.
I'll let you know what I think tomorrow:confused:

Watched it twice now (and once in the right order)
I really enjoyed it. The only thing I couldn't suss ut as whether his Sammy Jenkis was real or not?
I think he was 'coz it was one of his pre-accident memories but I got a bit confused by the flash abacks near the end.
He he, deffo a good watch though:D

I think its meant to confuse you at the end, so you don't know if sammy killed his own wife, or that was lenoard!
I think sammy was real tho.
Did you see the flash back of sammy in the mental hospital, and a nurse walks by and as he passes sammy changes to lenoard! Freaky - but a great film, one of my favs.
There was another flashback with Leonard lying in bed with his wife and 'I've done it' tattoo'd on his chest on the blank bit.
Very confusing!
Alg;)
