Having received my tickets for the extra sessions i booked, thought i would have a quick read of the drivers check list.........
Although they run F1 cars there, there will be a noise limit of 98db. :(
Also, there is NO in-car video cameras allowed, even if mounted with a proper mount, which i think takes the complete piss, (and i have just spent 90 quid on one for this event!!!):mad: :censored:
I've ran twice before and they've never tested for noise even with the same rules :)
You'll probably get away with the camera too if it's properly mounted.

hope they dont check noise levels dont think my car is less than 98db,s by any stretch:no:
Could be a problem here as well :(

Quote from drivers check list.
"All vehicles using silverstone circuit are sound tested. The limits are enforced throughout the day and are set at 98dB measured at 45 degress on a static test with the sound meter set 0.5m from the exhaust outlet.
Your car, even if its totally road legal, will not be allowed on the circuit if it does not meet these requirements.
Sound checks will be carried out"

Well my R34 kicked out 120db at Snetterton:eek: but I managed to get through the 108db limit at TOTBV:confused:
98db - no chance:annoyed:
Thats a shame, on their web site there is info such as
"Noise limits
Please note there is a noise limit of 105db for all general testing on the National circuit. "
Any idea what the circuit layout is going to be? I was assuming the full F1, but thats quite a distance.
