ok.
I have the chance to make this meet a perminant thing. The land lord at the lyneham inn has two slots free for owners clubs but they are during the week as saturdays and sundays are very busy. We could have either have a monday or a thursday.They will set aside room for us so we can all park up. We can either have food or just drinks (soft drinks for me).
this willl however muck the date up again so if you are a defo for this meet put your name on the list and ill let the land lord know.
The 3rd thursday of september thats the 21st i have made this the closest to the original date and it wont clash with the exeter meet
the time will be 7.00 onwards

aye, shall we start say next month make it the third sunday of the month or so. maybe meet at a bit usually empty car park then have a drive (say looe for food, moors for pub lunch, or beach bbq if its nice) :thumbs:

He did go past, but only because (here's my excuse :D ) i had just come round a corner and was takin it steady, noticed him hurtling up behind me so started to boot it in which point he must of been at full pelt in 3rd and slowly went past.
Then the toss pot in the 5 series estate wanted some fun and after we both raped him on the short straight so when we hit the A38, we both just went along at 70-80, he went past at like 120 :wack:

thats dDale,its a fast car but i beat him:D , that beemer estate wasn't a white one slammed with black wheels and 'driftworks' stickers on it? seem him on the way home from work few days ago drifting it up in rush hour traffic!
i should be able to go to some local meets, but on a sunday the pub car parks will be pretty full for sunday roast! the harvister gets full every weekend. why not meet up at a place like the broadway car park in plymstock say (or any other empty car park) then go to a pub?
we need to find some where that everyone can find easily coz not everyone knows Plymouth that well.
We could meet at the beefeater then go on to where ever in convoy

4th Sunday would be fine for me as well... Just found out today that I may be working the 3rd Sunday on overtime (16th iirc). Not going to pass it up as its £18/hour :P Thats half a stage 2 chip in laymans terms.

oooooooops, i've gone and got completely confused.
I thought the 3rd sunday was 17th... but im wrong.
I had initially planned to go to the apex meet on 23/24... ive now swapped my saturday off for the 30th so i can go to Japfest 2 instead, but then continued to put down Sunday overtime for 24th as thought i werent going anywhere :rolleyes:
Will try to get rid of it tomorrow so i can make this meet *

Im ringing the lyneham Inn this weekend to see if they can fit us in.Also ill ring the harvester to ask the same.

This meet isnt to compete with exeter it was just an idea of ours so all the tight gits dont have to spend to much money on fuel:o :o :o

The exeter services meet on the first sunday of the month is still going on. (thats arranged by Ultimate jap cars... me thinks) some of us will attend that each month (atleast mammoth, ferret and I :thumbs: ) with the exception of next months sunday, when everyone is at trax!!!!
Plymouth is good for us but not everyone else... so its hard to pin point a place to meet... but seeing as a large majority of us are here in plymouth it seems like the logical place to meet... although we could alternate areas at some point...
Either way the list is GROWING!!!!!! Its looking like its gunna be a sweet meet

Hmm. A thursday night may be a problem. I get home at 6:30 then its about an hour and a half drive. A weekend is better but a weeknight? Possibly not. If I have the friday off, then all is ok. Will find out soon.
crxdriver: Will be interesting to see your little rocket. I will be at the Exeter meet pretty much every month as its only 10 miles away. I'll be in a silver pre facelift (G plate) S13.

im a definate people,
the lynham is the pub that is just off the A38 by the plympton turning, if you come off there then go towards the roundabout its the turning on the right into a country lane just before you get to the roundabout, then its down that lane for a mile (flat out lol) and on the right, not a large carpark but loads of road space,
ill have a few more goodies on the car by then, altho it will still look tatty cos i dont care lol

therfore, all the cars on her over 250bhp, which is most of them would spank your car, as in a real life situation, by the time you've reached 9000rpm (think your peak power point was more though) the boost would have come in ad the 200's would be gone.
btw, my car beat you on the old smokey engine running actuator boost, so that doesnt say much for you :smash:
anyway, back on subject. :whip:

therfore, all the cars on her over 250bhp, which is most of them would spank your car, as in a real life situation, by the time you've reached 9000rpm (think your peak power point was more though) the boost would have come in ad the 200's would be gone.
btw, my car beat you on the old smokey engine running actuator boost, so that doesnt say much for you :smash:

its been turbo'ed since and made 245.5bhp at the fly on only 6psi boost unmapped. It has yet to be mapped and the whole bottom end has been re-built since, should be interesting....

Mine arrives on monday...
So its taken nearly 3 weeks. Which is long... but it depends on there stock, it was the braided clutch line that skrewed it all up, they had to wait for nismo to make one!
Otherwise I get stuff sent from JPS and greenline and takes a minimum of 4days up2 a month. The kit im looking at will only take 2weeks to send (Although i didnt want it flown, but matey is flying the kit for the same price as sea freight in trade for photos and fre advertising)

well Ross still has the fc engine from near a year ago!!! :mad: having new seals and full street port but just geting messed around.
You have to be tough with them or they take the piss! They have had a few mechanics who dont know what they are doing and screw the engines up and ross keeps it quite... he likes to employ local appretices... 17 year old idiots!

yeah i think we realised they are pants after they 'forgot' to put in a water seal on the housings so the water poured straight through the engine n out the exhaust!!, made it round the corner from there place and had to be towed back! not sure mate, the car is going strong so far! but once its gone its gone, no more turbo engine, something else will go in its place!

No point slapping in a standard unit for 150 + fitting as it will just go splat again eventually. So I might as well do the job properly first time round. 550ftlbs clutch & lightened flywheel ;) Plus the cost of getting in slapped in there too.

they balance the crankshaft using the pully crankshaft flywheel and pressure plate as a unit. mine cost £80 +VAT:)
Yeah includes the flywheel... all you need is a new Clutch release bearing from nissan and spigot bush
Wolfe> You get the rotating parts all hooked up together and get it balanced so at high revs you don't get wobble/vibration which may cause early bearing failure.

its the taking a part that will be pain and replacing gakets. i dunno if you can get balancing done cheaper than i got but the bloke doing my engine said to take it to alan jeffries which cost me i think £94 with the vat. i did mine cos the whole engine out so thought it all worth while :)

That second photo brings back horrible memories of how much of a pain it was to do a compression test with those well positioned spark plugs!!!

lol i no its a bit fiddley! the plan is that engine is in the fc, then maybe entering circuit comps with Ross (dragon) who has a circuit car that he is building, or it will be sold for cash for the fd. the fd has just been treated to an alluminum pulley kit removing the ac, big big big breaks are next, then when the engine decides its had enough who knows, but my dad doesn't want another turbo engine.

think so mate i spent loads of time last week putting together and it was all getting there even the fiddly stuff but had couple set backs. i have literally gotta drill stub axle get the inlet manifold back and re fit all the induction stuff, worse thing is cant take hol from work cos have to do training :annoyed:
