Im looking at turning my 200 in to a track toy as im getting a second car. first mod is bigger brakes i have 17 inch wheels allready but there a bit to close to the caliper so im guessing if i was to go up to the bigger brakes they would hit. so what im asking is if there is any one in the south that would let me try my wheels on there car with the big brakes so i can see how big the spacers i need will be and if it is at all possible with these wheels
wheel size
17 x 7.5" front (et 26) and 17 x 8" rear (et 32). Pcd 114.3 x 5
I have BMW 315s on the front, dont know where weymouth is but im in north bristol if you want
I'm based down in waterlooville mate, might be a bit far, postcode PO8.
Your more than welcome to come and try your wheels on the car tho. I've got the 315mm discs with 17" Advans on and they fit with plenty of clearance. They 8J fronts ET35 though :wack:
I'm sure if you just relayed that info to Dan he'll be able to help, I'm looking at his new 330mm kit :)
I have 8J 17" Oz Racing Super Turismo's with Dans 315mm kit (the original) and I don't get any clearance issues at all.
I'm quite confused how cleareance is an issue on standard items for you with your 17" wheels. Do you have any pictures of your current setup(pictures of wheel/brake together.

Get some hub centric spacers of whatever thickness you need and kill two birds with one stone.
1. Caliper clearance.
2. Better looking wheel fitment. ;)

Then you roll the arches and get...
3. Even better looking car. :D
Halfords do non hub centric items at 13 or 14 for a 6mm pair which should give you more than enough clearance. Mine haven't got vibration in them either and running a 6mm spacer on et40 8j wheels with 225/17 tyres and lowered on apex coil overs, no clearance issues :p

Look at my pic Ian, the kit only moves the caliper along the red arrow to take the larger disc, the offset of the disc (green arrow) is unchanged so it should fit fine :)
