Does anyone know the source code to display a simple visitor counter to your webpage?

Yes, I know it's got nothing to do with driving fast, or nissans, but what the hay.:D

Cheers

It'll be javascript prolly. Can't remember any sites of the top of my head, I'll be back and edit when I do.

If you find a page with one on, then go 'view' and then 'source' (For IE). Should tell you whole HTML code for that page. Might help?

I'm just guessing cos i'm bored. :D

A quick question, why would you want an counter on the page as they don't normally record individual user they only record sessions, so one user can keep refreshing the page and watch the counter climb. I've built loads of e-commerce websites, some of which easily have in excess of 5000 user per day, but counters feel out of favor about 2 years ago now.

Cheers guys

Normally I wouldn't want a counter (for the above reasons) however, I am interested into how successful this particular part of my web page is, therefore one would be useful (if it actually works)

I actually work for a University, and have just updated part of the website, so I was interested in 'Views' of the additional material.
