For PaintShop/Photoshop gurus

A friend:) has obtained some JPG files that all have text in the bitmap. Are there any PaintShop Pro/Photoshop 7 filters designed to remove text? It seems something that lots of people would need to do...

I've got about 100 or so photoshop filters on disk here and there and never seen any text removal filters / plugins. There is some OCR based plugins but they wont do a good job and probably wont remove the underlying rasterised text.

Unfortunately it's just skill that you need to remove the text well.

The only way is to clone it out in Photoshop.
